1st Spain Goal Offside?

When the ball is played to Iniesta, Navas is offside. less than 5 seconds later he receives the ball and scores.

Surely he's gained an advantage by being off in the first place as he is ahead of everyone else?

Does this class as 'second phase' or just a plain blunder. Never seemed to be mentioned. Either way its silly IMO.

Second phase. As soon as Iniesta touches the ball it's reset. Had the ball deflected off Iniesta then it would have been offside, becasue he gained the advantage from the events subsequent to the intial pass.

To help simplify it as you seem a little confused over it:

Does Navas gain an advantage when the ball is played by his teammate? (Not Iniesta) No. He is not involved.
Is Navas onside when Iniesta passes the ball? If yes, goal stands. If not, offside. IDFK Defence.
