Can you imagine: this Saturday is international ref day and all referees will act like players for the day, all referees will lie, cheat, feint and fake, and whinge, and scream, and swear, it will be mostly blatant lies and irrationally self-serving. Enjoy!

Depending on how the game has been going, I’m doing something from nothing at all to cautioning all 3 players (including the red 8)

I would just give a yellow to the player who did the stupid kick. I would explain that it can't of been too hard as your number 8 had to remind the player to go down. But yellow is justified to me as it could easily have provoked a reaction.
