4w-3w - mid-season promotion and fitness test training

good stuff. Calves like Jack Grealish but defo need to stretch more - will try your ideas. I found Oofos brand trainers and sandals have been really good for PF. Weird name, good kit. Will defo be targeting the next level as a way to increase fitness which is something I'm going to do more...

4w-3w - mid-season promotion and fitness test training

great advice there thanks. Agree on the footwear - will need to look into that more. I think I can do the test - my stats on my middles indicate a good mix of sprints and distances. I think it's more the concentrated distance/time 'formality' of it that will be a newer kind of load, hence the...

4w-3w - mid-season promotion and fitness test training

Nearly got all my games in for promotion to 3W this season but just missed out as too many called off over winter. Can carry them over but just been told the FA are no longer allowing mid-season promotions on the women's pathway so the next opportunity is end of 2024/25 season :( Bit of a...

    Women's pathway or Level 4?

I'm L5 and choosing to go for 3W rather than 4. Not had any issues getting middles in women's leagues yet but we'll see what happens once I reach the promotion criteria threshold. I can already see that others will take priority and that's fine by me. I'm doing it because knee surgery...

    Liar

Well, that escalated. :) In the end, I was taken off the match through illness so will never know if the numpty who called me a liar still believes this. And not seen the original ref since but hope he's putting his cards through now. cheers all

not sure - never been clear on that. I don't usually do WGS as an AR as assume the ref will be doing it. We did chat afterwards and he seemed content to leave it. Not a huge issue, just curious about if others had faced similar as an AR.

    Wealdstone v York DOGSO

yep = maybe the issue then is how long he let the advantage play out. I would not have brought it back, so that's probably why I was questioning the RC.

    Wealdstone v York DOGSO

So I guess the question in relation to the this clip is: did the ref make an error coming back for the red?

Agreed - and never liked that pre-season/ let things slide business. But just report the red for OFFINABUS, or the continued nonsense after the final whistle where the allegation was repeated and the crap around the handshake etc. Would that be worthy of a misconduct write up? Not losing...

    Wealdstone v York DOGSO

thought coming back for a FK outside the penalty area once you deem an advantage not to have materialized and applying a red only applied if the original challenge was serious foul play (in which case, unless there was an absolutely clear chance, you'd best not be letting an advantage run...)...

Interesting one as an AR pre-season and be good to get some views on it. Temperature of the game fairly hot throughout, ref was late to the game, had some history with both clubs. As the senior AR, I'd been ready to take over the middle had he not showed up so had already talked to the teams...

    Wealdstone v York DOGSO

first time post - be gentle. I thought if he stops play when he sees the foul, then red for DOGSO is spot on - I agree with other comments that it meets the criteria. But if he allows advantage then pulls it back, the red moves down to a yellow for unsporting behaviour and the caution is given...
