As a fairly new referee (after 4 games), is it a good idea to already lead a 'futsal' game during the winter break? I was told it was just between friends, and I shouldn't worry too much about it. Do you have any specific tips on the transition from 'normal' football to futsal?

I've only had 4 games so far, so quite inexperienced. Of course I know this ref could have done way better, but can I ask you guys what you would have done? My management is one of the things I have to work on, so would be interesting to hear from more experienced refs to hear how they...

@Ryan It's not the usual cold, that's not the problem. Obviously, running more is an effective solution to that ;) It's the specific cold which affects the hands.

Temperatures in Belgium are slowly declining lately, almost below freezing point. Weather forecast for the weekend is not looking good. My question as a new ref -only used to relatively 'normal' temperatures-: how do you cope with cold weather, especially: do you have some kind of special way...

I've seen it as well! It has even come through to Belgium.

The foot of a player of team a was raised way too high. I immediately thought 'foul' but I somehow didn't whistle. I think my reaction was a bit too late, so I decided not to whistle, hoping the consequences wouldn't be too bad. Afterwards, team a knew I was quite 'tolerant' so they continued...

I have the same problem (but the other ear)! Is a tornado that better?
