    Arsenal v Bayern

Ref in the Madrid - City game was flawless as well, actually got a shout out from the Dutch commentators for it. Should Gabriel have conceded a PK for the handball after the substitution there? I like the sensible option of not giving that one, and in return, think Saka was absolutely looking...

    SHU v CHE

Hi, After some interesting threads over the past few days, I came across this slightly late tackle. Anyone not going red here? For me, this is one instance I don't understand the on field decision, or the decision not to intervene. https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/s/221s5ReVnv

Liv City - Klopp and Pep for maybe the last time

This one is really odd, still have that as a wonderful decision but there is still outrage about that call 13 years later. Have had that red card as my hill to die on for years

Liv City - Klopp and Pep for maybe the last time

Normally I'd fairly easily understand the 'not C&O' stance, but this would be a textbook example of a boot to the chest, but not a sending off. To discuss whether or not it's a foul should really not be up for debate in this instance. It's easily careless, possibly reckless and definitely a PK...

    Ars v Liv

Somehow cups are always seeing fewer cards, but generally, I think he's got the game well under control and isn't falling for some speculative attackers going down by a gust of wind

    Man City v Spurs

That'd be an answer to the question we've been dealing with on here all week

    Man City v Spurs

Maybe he just blew the whistle on the initial tackle? Can't imagine why he'd bring it back otherwise. I'm going with howler too, if you've waited that long to see if an advantage is there, you don't blow the whistle after that pass

    Man City v Spurs

Brilliant game by the officials but the talking point will be the missed advantage in the final minutes. I don't think it was for an offside, so that's a painful miss

    Spurs vs Chelsea

Odds on Vicario mistiming one of those and joining the other two in the dressing room, leaving Hojbjerg as the stand in keeper for the draw?

    Spurs vs Chelsea

Now both Romero and Udogie are gone, some might say some while after they initially should have. Not sure what's gotten into Spurs' players but Chelsea - Spurs always seems to be feisty

    Spurs vs Chelsea

Couple of KMIs then, what maximum is Oliver looking at? Suppose there could have been four reds in that first half and it wouldn't have been completely out of place. Wonderful to watch, though.

    Two touch

Would you count the parry with the hands as controlled possession on a regular pitch and punish the keeper for handling it a second time? Think it's fair to think about those in the same measures, just ignore the parries for two-touch until guidance from those above comes down upsetting the game...

    Manchester derby

I really thought that in real time, it's a more obvious foul. They're neven sending that to the screen if Rodri wasn't going to be in the area where the ball came. Think it's a clear pen and for me it's C&O, but once again those standards are more fickle than the weather

    Celta - Espanyol

So what do we make of this one? Most boots to face are rather clear, but I'm not so sure here. Would be an excellent one for the 'mitigating factor' discussion. https://streamin.me/v/97a1ebd9 To be fair, I can see why the red was given, it just feels the other player is *also* incredibly late...

    Another efl referee error

I'd never argue with Peter on matter of law, who would. I know you're right. However we can alternatively artue that no player is cautioned according to any procedure as long as flash cards are accepted. Laws haven't kept up with the game at all.

    Netherlands v england

I know I've done this and I've often been lucky that the situation was easy, but there have been times where I had no idea where the player was when the deflection or pass was made. I'm just lucky I'm not on TV, just so easy to switch off as an assistant

    Newcastle v Liverpool

I think that for the Gordon one, Brooks allowed the free kick to be taken from the new position and got a good ball to Salah from there. Didn't therefore delay the restart but should probably have been.

World Cup WWC Final - Spain v England

Oh my bad, was thinking she was the original taker as she'd been taking the corners from that side before

And the corner taker that would have been carded was Siena as well, she got lucky on both DRP situations
