I had another rare one.
Offside was given in my game yesterday and the away bench weren't happy with it but excepted my response.
A home sub then gives a 2 handed w⚓️ sign of which was in front of the spectators (There were children present and watching at the time)
I always drop them a gentle reminder that I am the appointed official but if they don't respond I then contact the league.
Sometimes a text asking for the details can help with club marks and build a good rappor with the team because even secretaries make mistakes and miss things
After losing 4-0 and cautioning 5 I was asked if I could referee the team again later on in the month.
They laughed when I said I'm away and can only do if they pay the air fair
Had a game on Saturday on Saturday and played 4 minutes of Injury time of which both benches were informed.
Played it and after blowing the final whistle one of the goalkeepers went mental saying I'd only played two minutes and he knew because he had a watch on under his gloves.
After him...
Nope, I got a message from a fellow official asking if I could Ref it.
Had no problems and even had the PL2 team praising me saying "I'm one of the better Referees he has seen" and he is an ex pro
In really response to this, I was earlier in the season sent a message as a L7 asking me to Referee a Pre-Season game where the away team were an a Championship sides U23 team with 1 or 2 Lads that are actively playing for the first team.
The home team were a local United Counties team.
