Had a team today who asked me how long is left? I said 30 seconds. So they sent all their team up for the corner including keeper and scored. Left me wondering, had I given them a ‘free hit’ to get the winning goal? Felt a bit unfair they could put all players in the oppo box in the knowledge...
Hi, occurred to me today that I wasn’t aware of what to do if had to send off a manager / coach / assistant coach etc. would they be required to leave the pitch, and what could I do if they refused to budge, or, if they received a red can they stay put?
Thanks saw this but doesn’t fully explain it to my mind. For example could throw ball in from “behind and over the head” but what if this is achieved in a stunted motion?
Thanks all. Helpful to read the responses. Tipping point (to abuse / offensive and a red) for me was the second F Off (delivered when I was reaching for the Yellow / Sin Bin).
I was asked by player but said no. But wasn’t sure on etiquette at lower level (think it’s step 9). My understanding was no stops mid play unless head or serious injury and otherwise stops in between play for other injuries but not to do laces.
Is a deliberate pass back that slightly
deflects off an opponent permitted to be picked up by the goalkeeper?
And can you tell a goalkeeper (if they ask) if they can pick up a ball (or not) from a pass back that is not obviously deliberate?
