I think it's ridiculous to penalise this but in the name of consistency (at the top level) it should be given.

I'd cringe watching a L7 referee being conned like this, looked awful from an EPL ref. That kick away by Rice happens EVERY game and nothing is done. If they're stamping it out, fine (but we all know they're not). Pretty obvious the player intended to kick Rice by anyone that has ever kicked...

I doubt he consciously took an action that is given as a penalty 80% of the time for no tactical reason whatsoever.

Rare I've seen such a chalk and cheese two halves. Was having non of the Spanish antics 1t half. Refereed the 2nd like it was his first time in international football. Doubt England had enough to get an equaliser, but by golly the ref made sure it was never in doubt.

You still be absolutely incorrect then. The 2nd caution of the game for Mainoo isn't a caution in a church league.
