    Crystal Palace vs Millwall

MO bailed out by VAR and his poor season continues. To not even see it as a caution is an absolute howler.

    Man Utd vs Ipswich

The red card was for the way the tackle panned out. We all say that shouldn't matter but it does at this level. It's clearly not excessive force. Endangering the safety is a stretch but the only category we can blag this into. Same tackle will happen this weekend and I won't be able to post...

    Man Utd vs Ipswich

So you're issuing a red if that ball doesn't spin away and there's no contact with the man?

    Man Utd vs Ipswich

Fair enough. I think our original (TV) angle is what the 4O would have seen. I wouldn't be confident enough to be calling for SFP from that angle personally. I'd be saying USB and hope I was right.

    Man Utd vs Ipswich

I'd also add, you're making out it's the clearest SFP. This is the challenge. Looks well within the realms of a normal challenge for me. The ball slips out, the defender gets his studs caught in the turf and it all looks horrible from there. You could argue if you go in like this there is always...

    Man Utd vs Ipswich

Being harsh here. Ref doesn't have a cat in hell's chance of spotting this. Only the 4th has a chance to see this and once he's giving advising RCs you might as well just send the ref to the monitor. The system has worked and we're still not happy!

    Celtic Vs Bayern

Holy moly opinions are something else. The sooner computers take over refereeing the better cos that is the most nail on foul I've ever seen (ignoring the offside aspect).

    Leeds vs Millwall

You been watching this season? This is (rightly or wrongly) NEVER getting a VAR overturn.

    Leeds vs Millwall

This is a mistimed tackle with exactly the amount of force you would expect. I'm not saying a red is wrong but this is not excessive force.

    Leeds vs Millwall

I was quite underwhelmed. I was expecting a horror tackle. Orange challenge at worst.

    Wolves vs Arsenal

Couldn't wait to see the mental gymnastics performed to vindicate Sir Michael. The usual suspects didn't disappoint. I look forward to 3 red cars every single game now this is deemed a red. :redcard:

    ARS vs MNU

On a booking, Against this team, With this ref, Absolutely moronic tackle.

    ARS vs MNU

As much as everyone in the game wants this given offside, I'm sure I watched a video on IFAB website saying this type of thing was a goal.

    Brighton v Arsenal

I am surprised to find 80% agree with me that it's a penalty considering when David Luiz nearly decapitated Raul Jiminez in 2020 with a flying headbutt noone on here though it was anything more than a clash of heads.

    Merthyr v Walton & Hersham

Clear contact with force? How do you conclude either do those things from a still picture? The opponent is in another postcode when this pic is taken.

    Merthyr v Walton & Hersham

The sound is a fair point. But that pic shows his left leg is tucked in and a frame earlier (as this pic is post contact) it was planted on the ground. This may still be SFP but it is not a "2 footed" challenge.

    Merthyr v Walton & Hersham

    1. We don't know that (unless you've seen a diff video). 2. Since when does contact = SFP?
  18. deusex

    Brighton v Brentford

I've no problem with a red card. But if he was actually trying to elbow him his spatial orientation needs looking at by a doctor. He either thinks better of it or was trying to intimidate his opponent. He's very lucky anyway and would be walking if I was ref.

    Handball?

Thanks mate for making a few more around the world hate us.

    Nottingham Forest vs Aston Villa

Well if he can't see this ball that he is looking straight at then it's the best save I've ever seen a blind man make.
