    Arsenal v PSG

So I’m not going to be popular here, but I thought the refs game management was poor. The early yellow card set a marker and he struggled to maintain it through the match. Penalty wise….not in my books. Card for saka. Lino did him no favours as it wasn’t even close to being a foul. Once saka...

    Man Utd vs Lyon

Can’t believe no one has posted this yet. Second yellow and a red card? Let’s hear the views! I thought it was very harsh. Don’t even think the player made a tackle. So my decision is no card.

    Real v Arsenal

You’ve fallen for it. MB twisted his body and took a dive. He is very good at it.

    Real v Arsenal

I’m not blaming the ref. I think VAR is not the best.

    Real v Arsenal

First penalty i was shocked VAR got involved. Second one was a clear dive and I’m Shocked it took so long to get the ref over to monitor.

    Liverpool vs Everton

Touché. Well, under law it isn’t offside. However, one could argue that the defender wouldn’t have been under pressure had the attacker not been there so even though he didn’t make an attempt to play the ball, he maybe should be defined as involved. How one would write that into the laws of...

    Liverpool vs Everton

Guys. VAR reviewed it and it’s a red card for Arsenal. ;)) Jokes aside. How is that not a red card is beyond me. Went in hard, high and with studs out. Thoughts on offside for the goal?

    LIV v PSG

It’s funny. At my level, I choose an end at shootouts based on what he quality of the pitch and likelihood of getting the ball back if it’s kicked out.

    Liverpool v Wolves

I was amazed not a second yellow for a foul, but given a yellow for waving the imaginary yellow card. Would have been a second yellow. The usual early enforcement in the season vanishes. No wonder fans get so incensed and it makes our life harder every weekend because of it.

    Red card violent conduct

It’s tough when you’re on your own with no support from a neutral AR. You can only see what you see and deal with it. Everyone will feel hard done by as you missed so and so doing xyz. I now enjoy the tougher matches. Even when it goes too far as I have mentioned in another thread where I got...

Guys. It’s an u11 game without scores being kept. Saying that, apply law and do the coin toss and you cover yourself fully.

    Red card violent conduct

U18 boys with a lot of testosterone flying around. Only had a couple and it’s not a mass brawl, but a few boys throwing punches. From experience, it’s always one player who is on the other side of the pitch and runs 50 yards to throw a punch. Thankfully not had many.

    Red card violent conduct

He came onto the pitch and demanded it. That’s why. I was trying to not escalate the situation and just told him to back away, but I know I could have sent him off. I do struggle when things like this happen. Usually with boys matches there are punches flying everywhere, and I can’t keep up...

Thought so. I think REFSIX app adds it. Thanks!

    Red card violent conduct

Just posting as this has never happened to me in an u18 girls match. Team scores their 8th goal, defending player then stamps on one player, is obviously then surrounded by players and lots of pushing and shoving, she then throws a punch and connects fully with another player. Obviously red...

Actually this is something I am curious about. Is the 10 minutes absolute or do you add stoppage to that? I don’t know what the REFSIX app does, but I usually stick to its timings.

    Wolves vs Arsenal

I thought VAR would be the great leveller. Consistency which can never be achieved with just the pitch officials. It has made every decision be analysed by forensic TV screenshots and ruined goal celebrations. Added more controversy rather than eliminate it.

    Wolves vs Arsenal

That’s a terrible argument. Effectively saying that VAR have all the evidence and hence never make a mistake……which we know isn’t true.

    Wolves vs Arsenal

Wow. The still is ridiculous. He twisted his foot round and caught him with the top of his foot. The tackle on Timba was far more dangerous and was only a yellow. I’ve heard arguments, but that’s a tackle……irrelevant. Bruno got sent off by VAR for less. We mostly agreed that was a red card even...

It means ex players believe MO was wrong to issue a red card.
