    IFAB changes for 26-27

Thank you. I found it quite complex to read. At my level players will still be waltzing with each other before the ball is in play.

    IFAB changes for 26-27

Collina asked for protocol to be updated so the VAR could step in if a foul occurred before the ball was in play. There have been several examples, such as a goal scored by England in their 1-1 draw against Uruguay at Wembley in March. Cole Palmer delivered a corner into the area, but before...

    Arsenal vs PSG

Yes Mendes knee/thigh carelessly makes contact with Madueke. Mutual holding ... You were stating that Madueke was holding onto his opponent not they were both holding.

    Arsenal vs PSG

Yes, its beyond challenging to drive into the box with the ball, turn and hold a player at the same time who is behind you. Try it.

    Arsenal vs PSG

Mendes knees carelessly his opponent. And is all over him. As a ref its careless. As a coach I would have no problem this being given as a foul v my team, as a player (ex semi pro) I would be expecting a foul to be given for similar.

Doesn't the body include the head? Try jumping upwards and not move your arms. Raising your arms is natural.

    MOT vs CEL

I am not giving anything like that at my level ever being a penalty. Any devils advocate here to explain what it was the officials were seeing to create an offence there from Trusty's header?

    West Ham v Arsenal

Lot of players having a waltz with each other, and its still a foul on the keeper. No goal.

    PSG v Bayern

@RustyRef @Social Lurker thanks for the replies. I am looking at what the benefit is? And as somebody who has been employed to play football, coach football and athletics I am looking at what is the benefit of what UEFA/FIFA. The way this is interpreted is illogical. Players are being expected...

Thank you, but what is the purpose?

    PSG v Bayern

I think its just weird. Bi peds move limbs when they move, that really (it really is) in our DNA.

    WHU v LEE

High and playing in a dangerous manner.

    Birmingham v Sheffield United

Lot of uncertainty. Probably is not an obviously. No red.

    Millwall v Blackburn red card

No from me. Even If the Blackburn players next touch was great the Millwall players are going to be shutting the door. There was going to be no obvious!

    PIADM LCFC V BCFC

I didn't answer it as I didn't think it was relevant and law includes "threatens injury to someone including the player themselves.

    PIADM LCFC V BCFC

As a half decent ex player but humble ref I am attempting to understand this decision. I sincerely do not understand how a player attempting a bicycle kick, or scissors, or bicey as the kids call it where a boot flies past centimetres past a player face is not dangerous. The result, score, I...

    PIADM LCFC V BCFC

Stay with me here. I am even more confused. The ball was at a height where you would normally expect a player to head it. So a scissors kick with a boot going centimetres past a players face is not dangerous if the player does not pull out of the challenge?
