the difference being you are observing grassroots games and he’s refereeing in the World Cup 🤔 you Probably have only watched him referee in Qatar when actually he has been a great referee for a number of seasons and absolutely deserves to referee at the World Cup

Again another referee hounded by people who don’t understand the game. Mentioning his nationality is a poor comment for a referee who has worked his hardest to get to this level. As mentioned above he did not have an awful game the penalty should have been intervened by VAR as it was difficult...

Danny Makkelie the best referee FIFA has at its disposal and he is not picked for any of the knockout games and only officiated two group games. It’s so disappointing and must be very disheartening for Makkelie’s team.

Fair point. But he recognised it was not DOGSO and deemed it to just be yellow. VAR was used correctly and they decided it was serious foul play.

I referee open age football on a Saturday and now I’m starting refereeing on Sunday in a tough open age league. Does anyone find Sunday football tougher and have any tips ? Thanks ( I’m also u18)
