    Man City V Tottenham (20/04)

You’ve hit on a really good point that is useful for us all. Right from failing to caution Aguero early on for as clear a reckless tackle as you get, any player worth their salt knows exactly what they can get away with, and will exploit it

    Newcastle v Southampton

Not a bad game so far! Anyone going red on the Ward-Prowse yellow? Clip for those who haven't seen: https://streamja.com/2Ay3

    Tier for level 7s

Here in Cheshire 7s can run the line in the supply league (level 4s in the middle)

    IFK in penalty area.

Yes but play had already been stopped

    IFK in penalty area.

As soon as I sense danger like that, I'm blowing on the whistle. Everyone can hear it, even if it's then a bit awkward, at least players can have no argument that they didn't know the game was stopped rather than just using your voice. Other than that, not much you can do really

    There's no VAR in quadruple.

Next year that’s a handball, it’s not this year. What is worrying is that the ref indicated it came off his hip, when it clearly strikes his hand, regardless of any interpretation of whether or not that constitutes handball

    Foul Throw

Yeah I really like this. I used to say ‘it looks bad but it’s technically right’ but realised I don’t like how the word ‘technically’ comes across. I meant by the letter of the law, but it often comes across to players as a bit of a weak answer

Personal hearing for a match 3 months ago...

Did you have to put a report in? If so, go over it, make sure you're clear about exactly what happened. Nothing to worry about - stick to the facts and you'll be fine. Club is no doubt trying to wriggle out of it, but you just say what you saw and gave (based in law) and let the panel do the rest.

    Unsure of sanction...

I honestly can't believe I've just read that. "I can think of a lot of worse things". Absolutely disgraceful. Find it baffling that there are people who still think it's acceptable to act towards someone in a (sexually) unconsensual manner, regardless of how 'serious' it is or for how long it lasts.

    Unsure of sanction...

Said message proclaimed gay people were going to burn in hell. If you're supporting that, I have no issue with you being reprimanded

    United v United

I can’t tell at all from that angle, AR is in a much better position

    Unsure of sanction...

Complete straw man that, very disingenuous.

    Unsure of sanction...

Go up to someone in the street and kiss them unconsensually. It’s not acceptable anywhere

    No interference at offside

I don’t think you’ve done anything wrong. The team would benefit for an IDK but there’s nothing to merit giving them one! Can’t make up offenses. I find a quick shout of ‘he’s in an offside position but hasn’t interfered’ quietens things down quickly

    AR Observation - Harsh?

Hang on hang on, I’ve been encouraged by observers in the past to do the walk the dog on tight call to aid the referee and marked down for not doing it! Why is there no consistency?

    L8-7

Yep, once you become the required age you should automatically become a Level 7, at which point you’ll be able to referee any age

    Under 12s game tips??

At that age, I would give foul throws where it's obvious. A little bit of leeway in fine and a quick 'make sure you keep both feet on the ground' or 'the ball has to come from behind your head and over' should sort it out. Always hard to say RE fouls but if there's violent conduct etc. it has to...

Yes. It’s sexual assault. No ifs, no buts

    Unsure of sanction...

Irrelevant, we’re talking non consensual. Reaction doesn’t matter
