Manchester City Women vs Arsenal Women

    It's a rare event (1 in 10 game's?). Ball hit's ref = dropped ball. Why complicate?

    Referee assualts

Added bonus of having a buddy, will be that the teams clock you having a chat beforehand. When I've been observed (ie buddy attending) players seem to be better behaved.

    West Ham v Leeds

To paraphrase Bill Shankly: If Bowen is not interfering with play or seeking to gain an advantage, then what's he doing inches from the ball and the keeper?

    West Ham v Leeds

"Interesting" for the majority of refs next match at the dog and duck. Not interesting for PL officials. If PL want to "deviate", then they should have to explain why.

    West Ham v Leeds

Only possible explanation is "not touched the ball, so not offside". But not for me, Bowen is right in the mix hunting the ball, so offside.

    Jimenez Double Yellow

I agree with "stupid", but ... IF the caution/word had been sorted away from the foul and not "on top of it", it wouldn't have happened, unless player went back. I would love to see the second Yellow offence applied more frequently at this level, but it won't be in any other TV game this weekend.

    Jimenez Double Yellow

Was the first a yellow? Perhaps some previous in first 45? Unsure about the "management" of the situation to get to the second.

Not for me. Was his armpit in an unnatural position, where else could it have been more naturally 😁

    Considering hanging up the whistle

I would at least speak to the league - it might (more than likely) be that there's a number of ref's in the same boat with this team, and the league might consider sanctions against the team a better option than losing ref's?

    Wolfsburg v Sevilla penalty

Simply by broadcasting that conversation (as per both rugby codes), then the participants minds will be focussed on getting the correct rational decision, they won't be just communicating within their own little bubble, and that in itself will result in better decisions being made. The bonus...

    2.6k

Has anyone got a 'training schedule' for the 2.6k in 12-mins? Also, what are the 2 x sprints and how are they tested - before/after 2.6k?

    Offside?

No.9 'went' to play the ball (obviously from a '1-2'), so yes he was close, but then stopped, realising he was offside. I've re-read LOTG and can't pin what happened down as an offence. He didn't touch the ball or clearly attempt to play the ball (there was no attempt to play the ball, unless...

Accused of hugging the centre circle

If all else fails - blame the ref and pick something that's difficult to defend! I had a double-header last week, no incidents, no pens , no cards (in first 3 quarters), only one team going to win. 4th quarter the moaning started from the losing team (U18) and their manager, and this was their...

    Offside?

Game on Saturday where I was on the line: ‘1-2’ on half-way line, No.9 lays it back and makes an early run for the return ball. Clearly offside, everyone stops expecting a flag, which I don’t raise. Attacker has also realised he’s offside and stops. His team-mate runs from an on-side (his...

    Undershirt colour

Just got back to this and thanks for your responses. Practically, I wouldn't bother, especially as the undershirt is black, which seems a default for most of this type of kit. The reason it sprung to mind was because of the 'tape-colour-on-socks' issue, that was mentioned by my assessor earlier...

    Passback restart

Keep on moving towards everything being 'ceremonial' and we'll end up with American Football. Let's encourage the 'thinkers' - we usually complain that they don't know the rules!
