    Substitute incident

‘Leaving the technical area to act in a provocative or inflammatory manner’ If you’re having to tell him to leave the FOP multiple times I would say it falls into this category. That or ‘entering the field of play to interfere with play, an opposing player or a match official’. I guess not...

    Sheffield United v Wolves

No pen for me. Minimal contract, if any. Certainly not enough for the attacker to hit the deck
  3. Q

    Newcastle Vs Arsenal

it’s the nature of the fall which gets me, and with most footballers. If you’re pushed you naturally put your arms forward to break the fall. Players who are looking for something and/or feel something in their back fall forward with their arms stretched out wide. That isn’t natural and shouts...

    Newcastle Vs Arsenal

Ignoring the elbow, Bruno not being booked in that first half is laughable. It’s the easiest booking you’ll ever see
  5. Q

    Level 4 Club Marks

It’s the 70’s which annoy me. Lazy marking, X’s straight down the middle which can heavily impact the merit table

    Abusive language

Yes to be fair, I may have misunderstood the each other context there. INOFFABUS, depending on the words used is in the eye of the beholder in some ‘lesser’ terms. Obviously some particular words would be a red regardless of who is refereeing but as you are going towards the ‘less offensive’...

    Abusive language

Players swearing at their own teammates can be a difficult thing to manage as most of the time if you question it, the reaction will be ‘I was talking to my own team!’. That doesn’t make it acceptable, but the use of swearing toward a teammate is definitely a different context to that of an...

Don’t get bogged down in punishments mate, not for us to worry about

MNC vs CHE red card Greenwood

Yeah it seems harsh in the clips I’ve seen, I can only assume there’s been prior warnings. In isolation it certainly seems unnecessary

    MOAS Observer reports

Yeah I’ve had that the odd time and then it just starts working again after a while
  11. Q

    TOT v LIV

This could so easily be rectified moving forward by having the decision announced. Instead of ‘check complete’ say ‘check complete, Diaz is onside’
  12. Q

    Another efl referee error

Bigger issue for me is the placing of the free kick. You’ve got to spot that it’s been taken well forward of where the foul was, especially when the player on the ground jumps up in front of you and walks forward.
  13. Q

    TOT v LIV

Since when does ‘check complete’ mean you can’t intervene again? And by that, when Darren England confirms it’s a goal and then everyone is then setting up for a free kick, why isn’t he screaming at them saying ‘it’s a goal!’.
  14. Q

    Goal keeper drop kick

you could attempt to sell it as USB, but I think you’d be hard pushed to persuade an observer of that Edit: I didn’t realise how many pages of discussion there was before I said this :D
  15. Q

Girls football handball to protect chest

This. Based on the OP, it sounds like we’re talking that the players arms are touching their chest, not outstretched in front of them. I wouldn’t be giving handball for that.

Tottenham vs Sheffield U - Manager Comments

The guys an idiot. The time wasting by his team was constant and trying to spin it with ‘we’re trying to work out the oppositions tactics’ is just him deflecting. Why would everyone stand around and wait for him to work out the opposition setup?
  17. Q

    MOAS Observer reports

Good to see clubs remain unbiased as ever as well. My 2 worst club marks are the games I had my 2 red cards :D

  19. Q

    Everton Vs Arsenal

Yes, he has deliberately put his leg out to prevent the pass, however that’s not part of the criteria for resetting the phase of play for offside. It’s a block, no different to when a defender on the edge of their box sticks a leg out to stop a shot
  20. Q

    Everton Vs Arsenal

The direction of the ball is irrelevant for offside though. An interception would suggest the attacker has taken control of the ball and was actively in possession. That pass just hit him and flew off 30 yards away
