    Rant with a question

It doesn't sound like you have much personal experience of this referee, and are prejudging what will happen based on their age and a past incident?

Open Age Not so much an incident

Just for avoidance of doubt 'Senior Cup' means the highest level trophy awarded by the county and has nothing to do with player age.

Ref Portal - S7 Second yellow

Should be just the dismissal as it asks for the caution details. It was the same with Whole Game System.

Changed drop ball law … devil in the detail

Order of likelihood: Dropped ball to GK if the ball enters the goal, changes possession or a promising attack starts while the ball is inside the penalty area Goal kick if the ball passes over the goal line but does not enter the goal Dropped ball to attacking team if not clear that the GK /...

    Celtic vs Braga

I don't see why there would be a referee announcement anyway if his on-field decision has been upheld.

    Darren England VAR

Just seen the Gusto incident. I am flabbergasted at no intervention for that. The Arsenal penalty intervention I can understand if Gillett said over comms he saw no contact on ball, but I'm still baffled why that is considered a clear and obvious error while the Gusto challenge isn't. It just...

    Penalty ref!

Looks like Everton player Rosa van Gool may have gone down looking for a penalty, not realising she has actually collided with the ref Sophie Dennington? 😅 (1:31)

Dundee v Livingston - rejected VAR review

Penalty kick awarded to Dundee on field, in added time with the score at 2-2. An on-field review took place and referee Ross Hardie did not change his decision. Incident (from 4:30): Alternative angles:

Offside - deliberate play or deflection?

Why did the ball go where it did? Skill (lack of) or circumstances? My opinion in this case is it was primarily the circumstances, mainly the close range and lack of time to coordinate the body, that resulted in a lack of control and the ball ending up where it did. So offside (assuming the...

sub players / coaching team on the FOP after a goal scored

How do you know that no report was made?

    Celtic injury time penalty

'Abomination' is harsh - can sympathise that the ball comes from a deflection but doesn't negate that the arm is out from the body.

Agreed it was an excellent SFP decision!

    West Ham v Tottenham

Gillett disallowed a goal for a push by Van de Ven on Walker-Peters despite Van de Ven himself being pushed from behind by Fernandes. VAR confirmed the on-field decision. Incident at 23 seconds:

I echo the calls to moderate the language a bit, it doesn't help anything. And there is a 'laptop version' accessible by web browser here: https://app.centrecircleapp.com/#/home

    CHE vs FUL

The key part of Webb's explanation for this not being a foul was 'high threshold for contact in the Premier League'. In other words they don't want to uphold the definition of a careless foul as by not doing so they can allow more goals and contact for the entertainment of spectators, and avoid...

    CHE vs FUL

On the face of it this is very harsh treatment of Salisbury. The one unknown is we don't know what PGMO officials have been told to do and not to do behind closed doors, so it could fly in the face of their instructions. If it isnt that then it is Webb who should be taking responsibility not...

    CHE vs FUL

Ridiculous how much stick the refs are getting over this for correctly applying Law 12 and the VAR protocol.

    Throwing Spray On

If a player is not wholly outside the boundary lines they are considered to be on the field of play, so they cannot receive treatment.

    Throwing Spray On

OK for a sub then you can potentially caution them for delaying the restart but I'd be more inclined to sanction the injured player as the instigator of it all if I wasn't just restarting straight away.
