@RustyRef That's football. There's an argument the use of VAR has made referees worse when they don't have it to fall back on. I'll raise you an 8-minute VAR check in Spain where they still didn't have a clue if they got the right decision

If a player gets a red card they can't referee. I've often seen it deployed, by certain types of referee administrators, as a tacit threat to try and deter referee's from playing.

Suppose it needs a harsh sentence as it's so rarely caught. Remember it happen to one referee and they found out he hadn't submitted any disciplinary action for 10-years despite doing 3 or 4 games most weekends

I misread it anyway. They definitely consider it one offence.
