Hi all
Why do county FAS and RDOs seem to place weak or even under 18 officials on really difficult and tough games?
Step 6/7 - I have been placed on the line of a referee who is not only under 18 but who I know has had a really tough time this season with a very nasty incident. I am all for...
Just imagining the scenario on a Sunday. Right player 1 you go off for ten mins. Player 2 you can’t run the line but you can come in the pitch. Player 3 you go off because you’re being subbed off. Carnage.
So theoretically you could have a situation where a player and a substitute are carded for dissent at the same time, one has to go off the pitch for ten minutes but the other can come straight on.
Hi all
I had to show the club assistant referee a yellow car for dissent today (names substitute on team sheet). I sent him to the bench and made someone else take over the flag. Correct thing to do or could he continue to run the line?
Thanks
Hard with ARs.
A tip I sometimes use..
If it looks like a close offside sometimes I play on if the flag goes up until the chance has fully elapsed. 9/10 the player doesn’t score and I will bring it back for offside. I will then say to any complaining players that I saw the flag but delayed the...
I have grown into a valkeen. It takes getting used to, I feel you get a better tone if you blow 60-70% rather than 100%. It’s hard to know how it sounds when you’re blowing it but people have commented on it being very good.
I still prefer a tornado 2000 but I appreciate how it is more...
I personally think it’s a matter of subjectivity weather a kick from the penalty mark vs a one on one moving situation a few yards out is the better opportunity or not. This therefore calls into question the advantage rule in these situations.
This is kind of how I explained it to the attacking manager.
The original tackle did not stop an obvious goal scoring opportunity - it was just a standard fouls in the area ball was long gone. The resulting play was a better opportunity - an obvious goal scoring opportunity that the player...
I know we have spoken about this before however..
Situation: attacking player is taken out in the box as the ball comes across, ball breaks to another attacking player who has a good shot on goal which is parried by the goal keeper and out for a corner.
Is there anyone here who would be...
Absolutely fine.
However - I had no way of knowing if his angle was blocked or if he had made the decision to not give the penalty until he came over and told me. At that point I’m telling him it’s a stonewall penalty as it was so obvious.
Hi all
What are peoples instructions regarding the giving of penalties to NAR? Buzzer and non buzzer.
I had to give a stone wall penalty at the weekend that the referee missed and I followed his instructions to buzz but to flag.
We got the correct decision in the end but it caused a bit of...
