    Reading v Cardiff

Open goal seals it for me

    Norwich v Wigan

I'm steering away from red because blue has largely stopped his momentum and, to a large extent, the impact is because yellow is kicking through into the blue leg. I don't see that his safety is endangered. However, without doubt reckless from the moment blue lunges to clear the ball away

    Disgusting

It's astounding that the players think they can hinder the police in arresting the fat mess just because they are still in a football pitch! How ridiculous is our sport sometimes

    Flexibility about throw-in location

The only one's I'm really sharp on, and will tend to simply award the throw to the opposition, is when the thrower cynically throws the ball from many many metres towards their own goal from the correct location in order to take the ball uncontested. Most other times, if the location is a...

Deliberate Play / Deflection / Save

I must say, I'm minded to just stick to the Laws. All if the videos are dependant on their circumstances and the written clarification is less than helpful, in my view. It's much easier to point to the LOTG and glossary than to some vague circular

Deliberate Play / Deflection / Save

I think the IFAB might need to have a think whether deliberate still means deliberate. They were pretty clear in saying that the law needed no amendment, oy clarification, but a number of these 'not deliberate' videos look pretty bloody deliberate to me!

    New Nike Referee Shorts 22

They seem to come with nicer legs than I've got. I have last year's shorts and they're very comfy. These look to have a more pronounced back pocket

    Scotland vs Armenia

Blue is also defending. There's an expectation that fouls are a bit softer when it comes to the defending side. That being said, not sure I'm blowing that. Depends on the angle.

Pitch Invasions - ruining it for their OWN players!!

Here's a question.... What happens if, at 2-1, the officials run off, blow FT and then while the officials are bolting for the sheds, fans are flooding the pitch, and VAR says 'I recommend an onfield review for a penalty'. Seems problematic.

    What can't players shout?

He was too apologetic and it was too funny. I couldn't stay mad. Believe me, I tried.

    What can't players shout?

I had one on the weekend - striker beats defender who, when striker is 8 yards from goal, screams at him. Striker fluffs kick and GK collects the scraps. Whistle, IFK, yellow. All accepted with little question. Couldn't bring myself to DOGSO as the striker seemed to be off balance anyway.

    Penalty kick or not?

Yeh, I think we can limit our disagreement to seeing this particular event differently.

    Sporting Lisbon x Gil Vicente

@Murri O But for @one 's helpful still (which seems to indicate this should be a FK to the keeper), I'd go penalty on this one Assuming he is not in control and he has merely patted the ball away, careless charge regardless of whether he's tipped the ball away or not. Could have avoided the...

    Penalty kick or not?

This is now rather hypothetical. The OP GK did not dive headlong into another player. His movement was across the path of the striker and not towards him. If anything, the striker has run into the GK. For me, if the GK is doing something they would be expected to do, we should be cautious...

    Penalty kick or not?

Trips are only offences if careless, of course. And it's different because he's not tapping past, he is shooting. The GK is making a save. They are conceptually distinct. It's readily accepted that sometimes saves are not successful. It's also readily accepted, I would suggest, that if an...

    Penalty kick or not?

Why do you say it is careless? What has the goalkeeper been careless as to?
