I had a game where the parents were literally on the touchline, asked them to get back during a stop in play, one of two moved, so I stopped the game and said I am not restarting till they got back, fair to say they moved quite quickly.........

It doesn't matter if it is in the 90th minute or the 1st, the LOTG still matter and as a referee you have to abide by them, a player has now gone unpunished.........

And then when a mistake is made, you go blind and then can't referee again..........

I learnt a trick from Sian Massey, which I use for decisions as well as games, "put it on the shelf" it's happend you can't change it, so why dwell on it? Just get back to it, and try and get a mentor to your next few games and they will be able to guide you. I wouldn't be the referee I am...

To be honest, I think it was just a joke from Mr Elleray, I don't think he would have said it in front of people if it was meant to be an offensive and racist comment, He's not that stupid.

This is getting ridiculous, these stories are starting to come more frequent, something really has to be done.........

Don't take your self too seriously, try an have some banter with them, I did some adult 5 a side games a couple of months ago and did my first game really seriously and ended up having the piss taken out of me, put some banter into the rest of my games and had no problems :)
