    Four Reds, 16 Yellow Cards

@MI posted this on the Mass Confrontation thread and I thought it deserved a thread of its own. Were all actions taken correct? Could it have been managed differently? Discuss

    County Fa

Keep yourself anonymous. Too late for that though! Mind you, I would never openly slate a referee on here (like some do). A referee may make a mistake, but then it is highlighted and discussed - so we can try and avoid making the same one! With your regards to you last post - county FAs hate...

    Mass Confrontation

I'm afraid we'll have to agree to disagree with respect to the assistant getting involved - differing opinions. By the way, there was no fourth official. As you put it, topic closed.

    Mass Confrontation

    1) Triangle formed - good. Should have stayed there though. 2) Firstly, the far side assistant is too far away, he should be closer. 3) The dugouts side assistant whilst originally good, should not be intervening in the manner in which he did. In fact, the manner in which he did get involved...

Bloody hell - decent debate. I think I'll just sit back and keep watching this one.

    Requesting A Professional Foul?

I would have a quick word with the captain when running past saying watch those lads - no need for that behaviour. Here's your warning.

Junior/Youth Nothing on Sunadys till March

Ask your local RA / senior refs in your area who will know the contacts for local leagues you could join.

You have no way of proving - I would allow him to play.

    Bizarre Antics

But in all seriousness, I've heard players say enough times "you've ruined / killed this game ref" the referee did just that. This is a situation where common sense prevails. Who cares if he is off the pitch, all players want the game to be stopped and check him, so be it. Deal with situation...

Should have cautiond for leaving the FOP without the referees permission!

    Having officals on line

Refcraig - in most situations a double footed tackle does result in a red card, which I have put in my comment. There are occasions where it is not SFP and can be classed as reckless. I.e. the player is on the floor already, puts two feet into the ball to block it - going through the ball at a...

    Assistant Referee Flags

You will find in a lot of youth leagues that is the case. I refereed a league which had the rule for two years when I was 14-16. Not once was I provided with flags. Play it safe. Take your own.

    Assistant Referee Flags

Referee supplies the flags. No standard flags used, just two basic assistant flags are needed.

    Something I've just seen.

Yachino - the lack of shin pads IS a valid reason to disqualify a player from starting the match. Similarly, if a player cannot take his ring off / can't take his ear piercing out, they simply do not start the game (if you are brave enough)
