    Level 4 promotions

Are you up for promotion? If you are not then you will not be observed, simple as that. You should though have been assigned a mentor and he/she should be available to talk things through with and maybe attend a game or two.

In terms of your point on experience, i think that would depend on what games are being done. Yes, an academy referee may have great positioning and looked very polished on the pitch. But can he manage mental Dave who plays centre back for the Red Lion? How will he deal with having 4 or 5...

    Mark Saggers, Talksport

Well i have heard Mark Saggers talk some guff but i think he may have excelled himself with this article. No yellow or red cards and a 15 minute sin bin for headbutting a player........https://you-are-the-ref.com/mark-saggers-heres-radical-plan-keep-playing-field-level/

    Sin Bins - 17/18 Season

So last night was the League meeting of the local league i sit on the committee for, 50 club secretaries were in attendance. We mentioned that we have been asked if we wish to take part in the pilot and that we would be asking for opinions via email in the next few weeks. We asked for some...

Unusual Incident (From O/A County Cup Final Report)

@PinnerPaul is refering to a report he has read, he wasn't on the line. Read the OP properly before having a go.

    Sin Bins - 17/18 Season

You make it sound so easy. Without neutral assistants and with more than one player in the "sin bin" it will be a nightmare. Seeing as it has never been tried before then all we can do is focus on the issues we think it can cause.

    Sin Bins - 17/18 Season

@PP62 just took the words from my mouth, its an opinion not an excuse. In my opinion its a bad idea. Just out of interest, if managing this will be so easy. How do manage the multiple dismissals? I know I am playing devils advocate here as it doesn't happen often. But if you have more than one...

    Sin Bins - 17/18 Season

Sorry for a second their I thought you said get the managers to manage the dismissal.......oh wait!!!!!! The reason I gave for it "possibly" increasing dissent is because it may actually discourage certain ref's from issuing the dissent caution as they don't want to have to handle the dismissal...

    Sin Bins - 17/18 Season

100% with @Padfoot on this it is going to be such a headache for the lone referee. A league i officiate on has been asked to pilot this. Imagine this.... A player is cautioned for dissent and is sin binned, 3.5 minutes later you have to bin another and 2 minutes after that you need to bin...

    Manchester Derby

Red all day long for me and i am a red but as soon as i saw it i said to my mates thats it he is off. What would you be sending Aguero off for? Yes he went head to head with him but that is a max of AA which is a caution. Fellaini then butts him, clear as day. He is a 24 carrat idiot for what...

Congratulations to any ref chat member on the list. Now i know its a bit of an "unanswerable" question but does anyone know when the 4's will be announced? My mate has been told it may be another 2/3 weeks!!! But why would it be that long?
