We use a white card in France for the sin bin.

Here in France, a 2nd Sin Bin offence is treated as a 2nd Yellow, so becomes a Red. Also any Sin Bin offence followed by a Yellow Card offence is treated as 2nd Yellow. Conversely, a Yellow followed by Sin Bin offence still only gives the 10 minutes!

All appointments are by (equivalent of) county. It is nothing to do with cry-offs, it has been imposed by the FFF (national) medical commission.

That is exactly how it is now here, the sin bin threat is enough. There is no need to remind the captains of it, they all know it WILL be used. It is very easy to concede one (sometimes two) goal(s) in the ten minutes, so dissent is now (almost) non-existent.

This is at all amateur levels now in France. My level is Regional (the South West of France, a region the same size as Austria, or about 65% of the size of England) and Departmental, the latter is equivalent to County level in the UK.

3rd full season, following 2 season trial in cup competitions. Excellent tool for referees. Dissent is almost non-existent here now. Not needed to use it this season, and my colleagues have also rarely needed it too, the message from the last 2 seasons seems to have had the desired effect.

New refs in France are advised to get black and yellow shirts. When there is a trio every ref has black or yellow to wear. As time goes on each ref gets other colours, so there is never a problem. As this from an English referee who was staunch black shirt supporter!
