Lee Mason - Southampton v West Ham

Fair enough lol I only really glanced at it when highlights were on and seen headbutt (if it can even be called that)

What was Clarkes red even for? He never even touched him as far as I can see, certainly instigated it but that isn't a red in itself

Lee Mason - Southampton v West Ham

Was just trying to find the clip to re watch I can't find it for love nor money. I think I am actually thinking of the Robson kanu red card not this one

    IDFK signal order?

Out if curiosity is signal only classed as non verbal ie the arm upwards....edit...you just answered my question

    IDFK signal order?

That's exactly what I have been doing minus the arm in air bit, comforted that I hadn't made up the line across signal as I just insitcintvely started doing it...

    IDFK signal order?

OK that's great thanks, like I say I had no clue about that. Honestly don't remember it being covered in my course, the scenarios about if someone shoots and it doesn't touch anyone etc what happens then definitely were just not that specific point

    IDFK signal order?

Was basically when does your arm come down i think

    IDFK signal order?

I will be honest I didn't even know you were supposed to signal with arm straight up for indirect, I always just assumed you just basically did it loudly vocally (reason I am on forum to keep improving knowledge so hey ho!) Funnily enough I was on the aref site earlier and theres a question...

Lee Mason - Southampton v West Ham

Not so sure about arnautovic (sp?!) personally, depends how fast it happened for me, slow motion masks true story often, he didnt 'hit him' he led blindly with his arm outstretched (no elbow) and caught him on neck. Definitely reckless yes, dangerous? Depends on speed for me.

    What would you give?

That's a curve ball lol, I thought clear push but struggling with red card for denying obvious g.s opportunity. Probably is but feels like should be pen and yellow for defender as angle and proximity of keeper means it isn't a good opportunity. However is still an opportunity so I suppose red...

    Spare cards

Always have 2 watches on, I admit couple of times I have forgotten to restart the timer on watch, saved by other watch which I try and check real time throughout game occasionally. More I read more I like idea of a spare yellow in pocket can see how can be fiddly to get it out when 'sheathed'...

    What would you give?

Feel like there is an obvious answer but can't stop thinking the probable wrong answer...

    Spare cards

Interesting, I didn't realise that was a 'thing' suppose it is easier having different cards although you end up with 3 in your hand plus book and whistle...never had to give two yellows yet (13 or 14 games in)

    Spare cards

Random question...do you guy keep a spare set of cards on your person when reffing? I have got into habit of keeping a spare pen on me due to my whole set of cards, match pad etc falling out in one game and pencil disappearing never to be seen again in process. Noticed someone else say they keep...

Fouls and Misconduct-Cautions and sending Offs.

I think we are saying same thing except I don't think double jeopardy is what I thought it was lol...Although where I have said about it not necessarily having been a yellow before outside the area I thought there had recently been more emphasis put on the promising attack scenario hence the OP...

Fouls and Misconduct-Cautions and sending Offs.

It's trying to stop the cynical nature of some fouls basically when it's outside the area. A well timed trip on the half way line on a player about to release a through ball to an attacking team mate in a 3 on 2 counter attack wouldn't have necessarily Warrented a yellow before (first foul of...

Dangerous play.. red or yellow, please comment and vote :)

Red card for me dangerous play. Out of control, high, excessive force. I suppose on flip side if defender had come in identical would I have given 2 reds? Not so sure.

GK in control when... touching it with any part of the hands?

For me if keeper had one finger on top of ball he is in control if he has one finger on side of ball for split second he is about to get control but hasnt got it under control so would class it as a rebound/save/parry
