In theory yes...only possible problem being if he actually was a cheat? (CAR it isn't unheard of) or very incompetent?. Either way brave thing to do so fair play

Why would 3 games be a pathetic ban? I'm sure as a referee someone (possibly) aiming a finger salute at me isn't the worst possible outcome could expect.
If they are close together and the ball is fed through but it only goes to the onside player then play continues. If however a defender is impeded by the offside player in challenging for the ball or getting to the offside player then that becomes an offside offence. Key is to wait extra few...
Fair enough. I was fortunate enough to ref at a professional clubs academy and got pulled up on a sock being (marginally) not pulled up but that was never mentioned! Live and learn I suppose
