    Heading U7 - 11 rule changes

The guidance from IFAB. It is not for a rule change for England and U7 -U9 football that will be implemented in my region in September. Yes, I am going in circles because you are ignoring the issue of child safety. You are missing consistently the child there. These are not adults. This will...

    Heading U7 - 11 rule changes

Yes the assertion is heading a ball in the U7 - U9 age group next season is an offence. In any of my games I will not ignore that rule based upon safety. I will not ignore FA guidance in my training as a coach. You might want to reflect on this. Where is your guidance that supports ignoring a...

    Heading U7 - 11 rule changes

Yes, utterly logical. There should be no ambiguity, this is an issue of safety, there is no grey area, it is safety that is the paramount concern.

    Heading U7 - 11 rule changes

No it was not ridiculous. It was factual. The FA have introduced a new ruling, and do have guidelines for training in place for no heading in specific age groups. Heading is a risk. Heading in age groups U7 - 9 will be an offence. So, you will be ignoring the FA rules, and guidelines. I will...

    Heading U7 - 11 rule changes

So, as a reminder this is being put in place by the FA for age groups U7 - U9 (non competitive football) , and this is being put in place because of the risk to children. Heading should also not be part of training. Would you ignore the rules and the FA?

    Heading U7 - 11 rule changes

As a coach of kids in the age group effected FA guidelines mean my coaching session must contain no heading at all now. Heading is a risk. Heading has become a safeguarding issue in my coaching. Heading in my sessions = Not accepted = Risk. Heading in our games from September = Not allowed =...

    Heading U7 - 11 rule changes

This effects six, seven and eight year olds. The specific ruling is to prevent deliberate heading at specific ages U7 -9 at this point next season. There will be no heading of a ball because of risk. Heading the ball is an offence = Indirect free kick. Six, seven, eight year olds and...

    Heading U7 - 11 rule changes

Their very young. Do you want to be introducing complexity to children so young? Heading it might be a indirect free kick, or it might not! As a ref I would give an indirect free kick. As a coach of a kids team in an age group that is affected by this rule, I would expect one because it is...

    NED V ENG Euro SF

Not an answer to the point. The times are at the levels I ref at that is not a penalty. Non contact football is a movement the kids and adults playing it would not want.

    NED V ENG Euro SF

Yes it is the way it works. I would get destroyed if i'm giving that in the physical grass roots football I ref. I am not giving fouls and penalties for that. Nothing reckless, no malice, honest attempt to get the ball, he got his shot off, in the box you expect to see what is called in coaching...

    NED V ENG Euro SF

I'm in trouble if I get the players round before a game and tell them if you challenge for the ball and fail to get it and make contact I will blow for a foul every time. With having to remove arms to avoid handball and no contact football this is not the football that football wants at the...

    Heading U7 - 11 rule changes

A odd element of this rule change is that dribble ins/kick ins have more value than corner kicks and frequently free kicks. Coached one game with what will be u8's and its added a lot of variables. That complexity is confusing for children.

    Spain V Germany

I think you are being unfair because UEFA reference arms, therefore they must exist, but the interpretation is out of possession players should magic their arms away, then magic them back.
  16. P

    GER DEN

Its nonsense. Spot the player with his arms in the unnatural position. Its the player with his arms behind his back. This is not a normal movement. We do not play football with our arms behind our body. Football should not look like that.
  17. P

    GER DEN

And the player thus must move away from what are natural body positions for that specific situation, and move to a position that is wholly unnatural. Bipedal humans move with the use of their arms. EUFA perhaps should attempt playing football with their arms taped behind their backs.
  18. P

    GER DEN

Handball is not handball as his arm is in a natural position. Humans are bipeds. We do not move without moving our arms.

    Disgusting abuse of referee

I think its the maximum punishment. Threatening kids is abuse. Threatening a child referee is abuse. Why is abusing a minor a slap on the wrist? If a teacher, or care worker did similar to a child they lose their jobs and get put on the dbs barring system so they cannot work with the...

    Disgusting abuse of referee

What was the outcome? I know of a young ref who was threatened by a Manager of a kids team and the FA ban for Improper Conduct against a Match Official (a child) that included including threatening and abusive language and behaviour was . . . . . . . Six months. £70 fine and some online...
