    Newcastle v Manchester City

I agree. But no chance. The lines will get drawn by the website posted in an earlier post and the contorversey will continue to gain clicks

    Ireland v Portugal

I think the message is that you will be sent off and suspended. Is this an abnormal punishment? From what @RustyRef has posted this seems to be normal fair for games played under this competition organiser.

    Junior/Youth U13 game OFFINABUS gesture

Exactly this. If you play snakes and ladders and it tou land on the snake then you go down the snake. Because those are the rules of that game.

Yep, people was probably too broad I admit. 🤪

    VAR issues at Anfield

Suggests you write to ifab to ensure that this is incorporated into the laws of the game. Until then, this is not an offside offence, as per the written laws and the accompanying guidance within the laws

Chicken and egg argument. Their comprehension as an adult is shaped by their experiences as a child. They aren't mutually exclusive. If that child did that in his classroom at school do you think they say oh its ok he is only 13? No he would receive a punishment. Because guess what? If he...

    Junior/Youth U13 game OFFINABUS gesture

But a child's brain and reasoning are shaped by their experiences. They don't suddenly get to 18 years old and suddenly rationalise that this behaviour is not acceptable. Do absolutely, if we want out youth to learn that this behaviour is not right, they should be taught and shown the...

    VAR issues at Anfield

The keeper had full vision of the ball for the whole time. His vision was not clearly obstructed.

    VAR issues at Anfield

He was in his vision, but he did not obstruct his vision. Key differential. If we start using just in his vision, given how wide our peripheral vision is then we'd be calling a lot more offside offences.

    Junior/Youth U13 game OFFINABUS gesture

Yes. He didn't report an actual safeguarding concern. The OP is not a safeguarding issue. We've identified the key difference which is a direct interaction between an adult and child which did need to be reported Vs a similar scenario but where there was no direct interaction between an...

    Junior/Youth U13 game OFFINABUS gesture

As suspected..there is a little bit more in this one in that an adult has directly engaged with a child giving rise to a safeguarding issue.

    Man Utd v Everton

Hold up! There are people that don't think this is a red card? Its cut and dry a strike to a persons face. It is text book, literally as written, violent conduct.

    Junior/Youth U13 game OFFINABUS gesture

There is at least some learning happening in this thread. 😊 I'm really failing to see a safeguarding issue here. I suspect we might have apples and oranges. Of course what you say is 100% correct, I just dont believe that it applies to the context of the OP.

    Newcastle v Manchester City

You can't as you need the frame the ball is played which we don't have due to frame rates. All of the Hawkeye systems have a margin for error, such as tennis and cricket, which is similar to GLT. PL version of SAOT does all the body part tracking but still needs the human to pick the frame...

    Newcastle v Manchester City

There has always been a margin for error with offside due to the frame rates. They don't always capture the precise moment the ball is played (which is why the chip in the ball in the other version) so they've always chosen the best or closest frame to the contact with the ball which is why we...

It is mm. But it is there. Think it's up to 5mm but the worst in testing was up to 3.6mm

I really think that if the subscription is the clubs there is a data protection angle on this. You could make a SAR request to the club.... Let me know how it goes 🫣🤪
