    Celtic v Motherwell

This is the challenge of VAR. The answer I think probably that they wouldn't have recommended a downgrade (obviously we don't know what we don't know). When the VAR reviews they look at the decision that has been made and determine if that decision is clearly and obviously wrong. This is...

    Bournemouth vs Man United

Unpopular opinions it seems but both were pens for me. The holding clearly impeded Cunhas movement, and although he dived theatrically the fact that not a single Bournemouth player argued the decision tells you enough for me. The Amad one in the build up to the goal was more of expected...

    Bournemouth vs Man United

I said there would be at least 8. There was a delay after Bournemouth first goal. A delay to confirm man utd penalty. A delay to confirm the Maguire red. There was a no pen check too if I recall. + Subs and injuries then added on time felt about right without needing to time it. Not sure this...

    Portsmouth Vs Derby

Hard to tell on highlights but it looks like he gets to 1 and blows the whistle not accounting for the final second having to elapse. I don't think it would have changed the outcome though. The goalkeeper hasn't helped himself. There was no reason to fall to the ground. Count started correctly...

    IFAB Q & A question

No. The manager can't issue a caution. Only the referee can.

    PAL v LEE

I had a closely related issue in a game in probably my 3rd or 4th match as a level 4. I did the same team twice in very close proximity, away both matches and there were two players who looked similar ish and both happend to get cautioned in both games. What is did was showed a yellow card...

    PAL v LEE

No doubt the palace players helped the team realise there was an issue. I think a leeds player cottoned on too and told the carded player to go away quietly before he realised he was on a caution already

Props to whom ever helped him out. These are the moments you need your team to step up for you and thankfully they were there.

    Most red cards

Subjective. Fourth option is it's full time. If I think the game is safe to restart then I'm going free kick for challenging keeper when in control of the ball.

    Most red cards

I did wonder. Safest option is abandonment. Second safest option it a free kick. Nuclear option is a penalty. Probably one of the wildest things ever seen on a football pitch!

OFFINABUS RC whilst issuing YC for foul tackle - do you put both through?

If the yellow wasn't communicated at all then that's not best practise (not communicating it even if care not shown). @The Gump as both offences occurred then both cards should be shown. Pointing to each offence so it's clear that you havent lost the plot and thinking you are showing a 2nd...

    Keeper Injury/Tactic Talk

I reckon we will end up with timeouts OR a mid half break in a few years. Whilst a rule is being abused to effect what is essentially a timeout but this is likely something that football (participants) clearly want the ability to do. I think if it was allowed the rest of football (spectators)...

Can an AR help like this?

The referee can change his decision before play restarts. Theres a few outcomes possible here. If the referee determines based upon the advice of AR that simualtion occured or then idfk to defending team If determines the attacking team committed another offence then fre kick to defending team...

    Tottenham vs Arsenal

Hmm I think you might have heard wrong. (Edit: been back and looked again and what you have heard is factually incorrect). From my memory there was a clear gap between the "push" and the goal being scored and the whistle being blown. My view was that the contact did not match the action of...

    Tactical Injury Breaks

Yes but I meant as a general deterrent of faking injuries even by outfield players.
