Arsenal v Crystal Palace (EFL Cup)

Been there, done that. He deserved it

    Offside/penalty

Just seen something similar in the Wrexham v Sheff Utd game Ball played through towards an offside attacker, defender raises arm appealing for offside and handballs it before the ball gets to the attacker and the flag is raised. Why is that not a penalty?

    Hanwell Townv Hungerford

the foul definitely looks outside, cant tell how far away he is to make the call but can't imagine he has a good angle - as you say the AR could probably help (maybe they did and also got it wrong?!) the other one though, very strange - not a glance or a flick as i'd imagined it must have been...

    Tottenham v Liverpool

Romeo with a clear kick out, surely straight red is appropriate. Bantacur was a naughty challenge, very very late, maybe an orange card. Not seen the simons red yet

    Man City v Brentford

He, incorrectly either thought ake was covering (he wasnt) or that the direction was wider than it really was. I don't think he's bottled it, he wouldn't be at this level if he did, but he's got this wrong. If I was a Brentford fan I'd be fuming (I'm a city season ticket holder btw)

    Man City v Brentford

If observers don't mark that as an incorrect kmi (at any level) then how can refs improve?

    Man City v Brentford

VAR bails the ref out here 10 times out of 10. He's got it wrong. No covering defender and 'direction' is not an issue at all.

    Man City v Brentford

Yep, called it live. I don't think it's a hard one at all, his next touch is a shot inside the box and there's no way ake is getting there

Refereeing Decision Request – Challenge Assessment

No foul at all for me (based on 11 a side)

    Offside/penalty

From leeds Brentford yes? Was never a pen to begin with so at least they didn't end up giving it But 'foul' was surely before any offside offence

    Booking Procedure

Call player in, ask name, write down name, show card. X-check at half/full time against team sheet

    Real Madrid v Manchester City

Not seeing one like this doesn't mean it isn't Way too much to do? It's a free header!
  13. E

    Real Madrid v Manchester City

Don't agree with any of that, it's a striker getting a free header on goal 6-8 yards out Goal scoring opportunities don't get much more obvious

    Real Madrid v Manchester City

I thought it was an all round poor performance from a ref I really like. Missed several yellows, fell for a lot of theatrics (from both sides) and Missed the city pen live when it looked an easy enough spot (I also thought this should have been a red for dogso too)

    Notts Co v MK Dona

Doesn't feel nailed on for me (assume other angles will paint an spa picture as the video doesn't help)

    Overhead Kicks

Well I'm not 100% sure! Only seen a single replay If he appeals/feigns injury he deffo gets the foul

    Overhead Kicks

he does actually kick him though doesnt he, so it's not piadm?

    Return?

I barely ref 'proper' football these days, half a dozen games a season maybe. Proper mix of post match emotions, but you deffo can't have match sharpness the amount you/I ref which is bound to impact enjoyment. Give it a go properly for a few months and see how you feel after?
