    Liverpool v Leeds

Just out of interest, why wasn't the Leeds player sent off for DOGSO for the second penalty? Last man, No attempt to play the ball whatsoever, trips and drags down Mane.

    Leeds v Man Utd

One thing that concerns me the most in this game. Koch went off as a normal sub despite the head injury. What happened to concussion/head injury subs?
  3. R

    Leeds v Man Utd

No attempt to play the ball at all. Just clattered into him to break down an attack. No one would complain with a yellow.

    Man City Vs Tottenham

Going to bring up classic VAR inconsistencies... Man city get the penalty - was daft to raise your hands up like that when attempting to close down a cross. Arsenal denied a handball penalty for an arm above the head and out stretched in a 'Y' kind of position, ball heading towards goal. Hit...

    Man Utd v Southampton

Not even a yellow either I don't think. I suppose back to the narrative of 'let's keep it 11 v 11' like in the other post? Haha Mind boggling
  6. R

    Wolves vs Arsenal

Exactly this. Bad tackle, yellow card, players surrounding referee, player being cautioned is in the referee's face, raging, clearly swearing and calling him names (possibly even red card) and the referee, usually 99% of the time, doesn't bother doing anything about it. This should be a classic...

    Wolves vs Arsenal

Its a shame that football is literally the only sport where this is 'acceptable' /rules are bent just because you are a 'professional'.
  8. R

    Wolves vs Arsenal

Dissent is a cautionable offence? Doesn't matter how 'managable it is'. When you see Premier League players shouting and swearing in the face of a referee go unpunished it is infuriating. Then what happens in Sunday league? Refs are abused and assaulted. I haven't called him a cheat, he did...

    Wolves vs Arsenal

You have answered the frustration of many referees and fans across the country withn your reply. Referees in the prem seem to almost use different variations of rules/bench marks to what is written in the rule book. My opening sentence = yes he has done the right thing. I am in no way...

    Wolves vs Arsenal

Has the referee followed the rules? Yes. Going to throw a curve ball here.. I have never seen any referees so eager to send players off for double yellows when the players has hacked someone down, got up and sworn continuously in the face of a referee for 30 seconds and performed all types...

    Spurs v Southampton

Well justice served. Offside and Spurs lost. Still isn't an excuse for what happened, or the lack of anything happening.
  12. R

    Spurs v Southampton

What a complete mess. Spurs player fouls Southampton player on half way line. Results in head injury from the tackle and Sanchez landing on his head/neck. Ref doesn't give foul nor stops play for a clear head injury. Spurs go on and score. 2 issues. 1) brings up the inconsistency of...

    Burnley v man utd

Ah I watched it on my phone last night. With that still I see it now. Yeah, probably could have cleared the ball, especially as he is closer to goal too. I thought it was the player more central that scored.

    Burnley v man utd

It's basically the same as the Villa v Utd goal in the FA Cup that was disallowed. But in this situation, Maguire's block was on a player that defo was not contesting for the ball nor would have got anywhere near it.

    Liverpool/Cardiff

If this was the case you would disregard all Sunday league Dogso based on skill alone (no offence to any Sunday league players here)
  16. R

    Liverpool/Cardiff

A bit closer and the angle was severely against him. Cardiff player had to collect the ball to the left of the pitch, still very central and roll it into an empty net. Its almost denial of a certain goal rather than an opportunity. The only thing I semi agree with is the distance, but like...

    Liverpool/Cardiff

Can someone clarify why so many refs here think this is NOT Dogso? Leicester's goal is proof why this was 100% DOGSO. Empty net, no real challenge from a defender. Like what else do you need? If a defender pulled the player back and the keeper was in his goal, everyone would say DOGSO, so...
  18. R

    Liverpool/Cardiff

It's DOGSO. He has to roll the ball into an empty net, virtually unchallenged. Leicester scored their goal from a similar situation with 2 defenders actually covering and the angle was much worse as its was towards the corner flag. If the keeper was in the goal and the defender wiped him...

    Manchester United vs Middlesbrough

No your example there is fine. Example of a player being offside. The ball being played around several passes, defenders touching/clearing it...then a goal has been scored. The goal then being ruled out for offside is annoying, especially when different var officials will judge it differently...

    Manchester United vs Middlesbrough

Exactly this. So many decisions/goals have been changed due to something that happened which appears to be ages before the actual goal/pen has been given. No consistency whatsoever with VAR which makes watching football a ball ache now
