    U14 boys red card

I’m obviously not saying any of you are wrong and I’m not here to argue with anyone but non of you are thinking of this young lad or all the other young kids reffing every weekend and the consequences this could have caused a young child. yes i do believe a young ref should take into account the...

    U14 boys red card

No but I’ll give you a list of all the young refs getting abuse. This is a really silly stance to take. The situation in OP did not warrant a red card, yes maybe in law but not to protect a 15yr old new ref. Abuse from parents and coaches is a real issue and you’re not going to be there to...

    U14 boys red card

Yes under the right circumstances. And 1 min to go in this Situation was the right circumstances. who are you to tell kids to make sure they follow every inch of the law and then get abused verbally or worse… where will you be to help.

    U14 boys red card

Honestly wouldn’t crucify yourself over this. You’re a very young ref and need to also think about protecting yourself. By the time the penalty was taken you can blow & end the game. Giving a red at that moment would have achieved nothing and could easily have flared the game, coaches screaming...

    Spurs Leeds

Again a charge allowed.. this part of the game is absolutely all over the place and hangs grassroots refs out to dry.

    Fouling own team?

unless it was a studs up lunge/dive then you could give the FK but usually You wouldn’t give anything but blow for an injury and then give ball to who ever had possession.

    Fouling own team?

Yes I would like to hear an explanation of this..

    Injury procedure

You won’t really find my youth players faking an injury. They just want to get up and play. They’re not really sharp enough to look at stopping the other team playing etc. you’ll get a feel from the contact made, if it looks like it could have hurt, even if a good challenge just blow and then...

    Cancello v Trent

Funny you say that, as I don’t think I would have given that as I don’t like seeing players go down easy and I didn’t think contact was enough. I think there’s loads of fouls given in PL that I wouldn’t even think of giving on a weekend.

    Cancello v Trent

What did you make of the Haaland one. As a Fan i thought he was just a beast but as a ref I really questioned how it was allowed

Completed first few Games, Looking for advice

Offsides are the worst for us on our own but for me it’s simple.. if you don’t see it you can’t give it. If you think it’s offside you blow. Defenders will shout for everything and they rarely see where their team mate defenders are, so you can’t blow just because it’s tight, again unless you...

    Cancello v Trent

Yes that was my feeling. Stupid thing to do because another ref could easily give that, as you could see the arm extend for the push but player goes down easily

    Cancello v Trent

I thought I was the only one questioning it 😂.. I honestly don’t know what’s a charge or barge these days

    Cancello v Trent

Everyone seems to agree Cacellos was a definite PK.. Was Trents ? If not why not.

    Advantage?

Don’t be cautioning 10yr old kids for things like this. Teach them what they can and can’t do. Don’t be card happy.

    Silent weekend

How did every one find it. I thought it was very good. It proved coaches and especially parents can easily behave themselves but chose not to. Also felt the kids playing behaved more and it wasn’t as aggressive..

    Nottm Forest v Brentford

Doesn’t matter how soft it is. His reaction is a definite 2nd yellow offence

    Nottm Forest v Brentford

Couple of things from that game, the amount of players around VAR area when ref was reviewing, including GK.. And if Henderson’s reactions/dissent doesnt deserve a 2nd yellow then forget it ever happening in a game. That was the definition of decent. The FA have no interest at all in cutting...

    City v Fulham..

No issue with him showing red but are we saying it’s a foul. If that’s a foul then Haalands other week has to be.

    City v Fulham..

Cancello Red card. So what are we making of that shoulder charge & red card. I honesty don’t know what the make of shoulder charges now. How do we allow Haalands a couple of weeks ago and then PK & Red card that one.
