@Brian Hamilton please don't be ridiculous. I've come to expect you to be a bit more reasonable. What baffled me about this particular appointment is that it's on the patch of the biggest RA in my county so there are clearly plenty of referees close at hand. Why dispatch people so far?
@HertsFinest I think I'm going to move across the border! Assigned to a game a 40 minute drive each way. I am not a promotion candidate, I've been doing this 6 months and I'm already sick of the beauracracy! The amateur game needs to take itself a little less seriously!
Twas a she! Just generally being clever and helpful. Her third goal was from a theory in a maths lesson that "dividing any number by 2 twice will give an odd number". Pretty close to correct!
I turned down my county cup appointment owing to 1) having a prior engagement and 2) not knowing I would be put on county cup in first season and on OA which I don't referee. Emailed county rdo and the appointment sec with result of being removed from all county cup panels! Check your profile on...
Mini soccer is my week in week out at the minute. Be prepared to see some chest passes at throw ins and plenty of falling over. Girls will probably roll about being "injured" a lot less than the boys I referee!
There it is @mike mcgill. Kids move up as they work hard or do something else positive to score a goal and get a funky pencil on loan for a week. 3 goals makes a hat trick hero and they keep a pencil.
Yellow card for negative stuff after a warning then a red if they don't improve which equals...
Can I direct you to this from my CFA:

Report it with screen shots of the comments. The player/club concerned should be toast.
I'm with the flag up camp. Rather than doubt about offside it's whether you doubt it is a goal. Any doubt means flag up. Like Brian says better a dodgy offside than a dodgy goal.
Misconduct report to county detailing the incident from start to finish. Sounds like you'll need to be careful with names as the twins are likely to claim you have it the wrong way round (assuming that they are identical!). Give your cfa discipline office a call to ask them if you're unsure...
I suppose it would have to be passing my exam to be a referee! Then assisting on a local u11 final and the south east region u11 district schools competition. I reffed the team that went on to win the nationals!
