Crikey @xPositor I dont think id be booking for it at u11, probably not for a long time to be honest. The poor kids just do what the coach tells them to so I'd feel bad knicking their pocket money cos their coach is a plonker!
Had a fun one recently, a team who liked making a lit of roro subs but weren't good at asking me to do it. I actually reminded them before the game (under 8s so have told them a million times). They shoot and miss, goal kick which other team take quickly and score from, shouts of 'we were...
Well I had my phone interview yesterday and it was really interesting. Phil gordos will be researching for a while longer but will keep me in the loop on when it's done.
Gave a freekick when goalie dribbled ball back into box and pucjed it up. Think I was in rugby mode abd thinking about 22s. Right at the end of what had otherwise been a good performance so the coaches weren't happy.
Here's my message to mr gordos.
Dear Philip,
I'm contacting you after a message from Ross, the admin at refchat.co.ukregarding what I think about being a referee.I've recently started refereeing and I have noticed a worrying habit amongst the pundits on radio and television who make comments...
As I said on a Facebook page, the player turns his back at the last moment so his intent is made clear. As a goalie before refereeing I would be screaming at the ref the moment I've kicked it and probably followed through as high, hard and far as possible to make the attacker think again about...
I think the "get on with the game lads" nice and loud as you go running by could have been a good ploy so any aattempt to break up the attack can be penalised if needed. Tricky one though @DaveMac.
Essex RDO is very good (built the whole game system) and there is a good development group but I think it's very competitive, there are a lot of young refs in the county.
