Yes agreed. That's how an analogy works.

Because when you admit you wouldn't, you'll have conceded it's unprofessional.

Would you go to a job interview chewing gum?

Chewing gum always has and always will look absolutely awful. But golden boy does it so many will copy.

Liv City - Klopp and Pep for maybe the last time

I'm sure Walker would say the same if the penalty denied was in the Liverpool box!! Walker's comment makes me think it's a penalty even more!

Liv City - Klopp and Pep for maybe the last time

Lies! He grazed the cheating Madrid diver with the force of a feather floating to earth. That's how I remember it anyway.

Liv City - Klopp and Pep for maybe the last time

Oliver LOVES a big decision late in a game. He didn't have the angle to give this. If he's on VAR this is 100% being given.

Liv City - Klopp and Pep for maybe the last time

I'd go as far to say you're probably 50/50 for a red card for this in Europe (sadly). A certain Turkish ref (whose name I can't utter) would have shown a red (especially if you were playing against Madrid).

Liv City - Klopp and Pep for maybe the last time

The pulling was clearly after he was pushed away from goal. Why would he pull a Man City player to the 6 yard box?

    Freiburg v West Ham

Neither arm is above his head during the kick. I can only assume the arms go up after to claim for a foul???

    Freiburg v West Ham

I'm never giving that as a penalty now matter what the idiots higher up say. However, expected that to be given in Europe every time.

    SE Dons - Lino abuse

That game was way beyond that referee's ability. Poor ARs. No protection. How can the league committee allow a team to behave this way on camera every week? I am not playing a game with 10 people standing on the pitch for 90 mins. I am not having 20 people run on the pitch after a goal either...

    Dorking Chesterfield

The comments are 90% saying "good tackle" from (well hard) players who I guarantee would be FURIOUS if they were on the receiving end on a Sunday morning. Wannabe hard men on the internet really are such a bore. Bit of a poor show by an experienced ref to let that go IMO. The only question is...

Sin Bins - are you finding they help?

I honestly find it possible to believe noone has crossed the line in 2 years of refereeing. Maybe all the d***heads are up north!

    Billy Gilmour vs Harry Maguire

Sorry OP but have you played the game? These challenges happen! They hurt like hell but in no way are "excessive force". Everyone in England is expecting nothing more than a caution for the Macguire & Caicado challenge.

Careful, Mods will have you for that. Sir MIchael is NOT to be critiqued on here!! Also, it's an absolute nail on pen.

Sin Bins - are you finding they help?

If you genuinely only get dissent (of a sufficient level to warrant a card) in 1 out of 8 games then your league is fantastic or you are head and shoulders above my refereeing ability (quite plausible). The No1 biggest factor in how much dissent I will get in a league is the actions of the other...

Sin Bins - are you finding they help?

Some people are working very hard to justify allowing dissent to slide. It's literally the easiest offense to identify. If you're sin binning someone in less than 20% of your adult games, in most leagues you really are copping out. We have the tools to deal with this and for some reason refs...
