I had that in an intermediate county cup final last year, one team sent they're 3rd XI rather than their 2nd XI as they hadn't paid their club subs. 5-0, with very little for me to do.

I disagree. If a player uses his arms to "make himself bigger" then if the ball hits his hands it's a handball, he is deliberately putting his hand a place to gain an advantage (to stop the ball being played through there). Similarly if a player jumps towards the ball with his arms flailing...

I think there are all sorts of factors at play, the higher up you go the more likely there will be a tackle that would get a card. The better the referee you are the more you're able to use the stepped approach, you gain more credibility and authority so dissent changes.

Sometimes you see the 10 yards mark on both lines by the corner of the pitch. Why isn't there a permanent quadrant? There's the D for penalties and the centre circle but no arc for corners. I assume it's something to do with the differing widths of pitches.

Foul throw

My RDO kindly arrange a sixth assessment for last Sat. I had a really good game and had an email from my RDO saying the assessor had scored me at 80 which takes me comfortably above 73. Phew. My GPS watch said I'd covered 6.3 miles in the game which was a personal best.
