How far had the play ran to protest the decision for the 2nd caution. I personally wouldve sent off the player for the push as VC as there is no need/reason whatsoever for them to touch you.
Vuvuzela I have taken the following extract from the original article and hopefully it provides some advice on your long and successful refereeing career
Getting the ball first does not make a tackle legal
Getting the ball first but following through with the rest of the body in a careless or...
looking at the footage it looks as if he got a second caution for USB. personally i think it would be down to the individual referee on the day and how the game has gone. You could also argue that lifting your shirt over your face/covering your face is an instant caution, does this not fall into...
The best advise I will give you is to be yourself and to referee as you normally would other wise the assessment will be almost useless due to the fact its not your normal style. How will the assessor pick up your weaknesses/strengths if your trying to be something your not.

I hope that makes sence

Ross I can see where CGGreaves is coming from however I don't think it is practical, for example you could have a a couple of different referee's in different areas with the same problem, this then creates double the threads and decreases the amount of space that other threads could be used for.
At the start of this season (when I had just passed) I was probably a bit like you blowing the whistle at any hint of a foul without any consideration for the advantage. I feel that it comes from the experience of refereeing and it will take you some time to know when you will feel if there is...
