    Heading U7 - 11 rule changes

Their very young. Do you want to be introducing complexity to children so young? Heading it might be a indirect free kick, or it might not! As a ref I would give an indirect free kick. As a coach of a kids team in an age group that is affected by this rule, I would expect one because it is...

    NED V ENG Euro SF

Not an answer to the point. The times are at the levels I ref at that is not a penalty. Non contact football is a movement the kids and adults playing it would not want.

    NED V ENG Euro SF

Yes it is the way it works. I would get destroyed if i'm giving that in the physical grass roots football I ref. I am not giving fouls and penalties for that. Nothing reckless, no malice, honest attempt to get the ball, he got his shot off, in the box you expect to see what is called in coaching...

    NED V ENG Euro SF

I'm in trouble if I get the players round before a game and tell them if you challenge for the ball and fail to get it and make contact I will blow for a foul every time. With having to remove arms to avoid handball and no contact football this is not the football that football wants at the...

    Heading U7 - 11 rule changes

A odd element of this rule change is that dribble ins/kick ins have more value than corner kicks and frequently free kicks. Coached one game with what will be u8's and its added a lot of variables. That complexity is confusing for children.

    Spain V Germany

I think you are being unfair because UEFA reference arms, therefore they must exist, but the interpretation is out of possession players should magic their arms away, then magic them back.

    GER DEN

Its nonsense. Spot the player with his arms in the unnatural position. Its the player with his arms behind his back. This is not a normal movement. We do not play football with our arms behind our body. Football should not look like that.

    GER DEN

And the player thus must move away from what are natural body positions for that specific situation, and move to a position that is wholly unnatural. Bipedal humans move with the use of their arms. EUFA perhaps should attempt playing football with their arms taped behind their backs.

    GER DEN

Handball is not handball as his arm is in a natural position. Humans are bipeds. We do not move without moving our arms.

    Disgusting abuse of referee

I think its the maximum punishment. Threatening kids is abuse. Threatening a child referee is abuse. Why is abusing a minor a slap on the wrist? If a teacher, or care worker did similar to a child they lose their jobs and get put on the dbs barring system so they cannot work with the...

    Disgusting abuse of referee

What was the outcome? I know of a young ref who was threatened by a Manager of a kids team and the FA ban for Improper Conduct against a Match Official (a child) that included including threatening and abusive language and behaviour was . . . . . . . Six months. £70 fine and some online...

    Heading U7 - 11 rule changes

I would like to see what this looks like in reality. The retreat line exists to encourage team play. This rule change appears to encourage little Braydon/Jaydon/Kaydon (every team has one or two with those names now) to belt balls down the pitch players will have to avoid heading! Edit ...

I agree no penalty. Is there any guidance on the positions of arms in walls?

I was interested in positions v shoulders, and when I looked at previous guidance started to have doubts that my understanding was 100%. Thanks.

    Bristol City vs Huddersfield

Yes, I actually watch Bristol Manor Farm more often than BCFC but I use the forum as a means to understand and improve my reffing. I might come across this one, and I'm not giving it, but I want to be 100%. Handball wording has altered several times in years. ifab had guidance about offences...

I am saying no penalty but Refs does the height of the players hand above his shoulder alter the decision?

    Bristol City vs Huddersfield

He (the defender) is too close to the ball and his arm is not in a unnatural position. So no.
