He's attempting to circumnavigate the laws. By underhand and unsporting tactics. Caution for me... Even with no shout, I would order a retake if the ball didn't make a full revolution.

Read the definition of a goal in lotg... this is the law therefore disallowing a goal for no apparent reason would be wrong in law.

Personally, when I have club assistants, qualified or not, , I have them only do ins and outs. Everything else is with me and this is made clear to the teams from the start.

So...the ball is crossed and not going towards goal......it hits a defender or keeper on back of the head and goes in to the goal. No deliberate attempt to play the ball........ still an own goal......Don't you think?..... ;)
