    there was a time in my locality, that every other ref was doing a Double header to ensure that games were covered Thankfully not happening to me too often now

    If the cup final appointment is coming, am staying away from games for at least 7 days before the Final!!! Many may find that excessive, but it works for me

    i found that back in the day when I started refereeing, the younger the player, the more the referee needed to be an educator as to the laws of the game. I'd Be interested to find out if this is still the case. I found The younger the player, the more talking the referee needed to do

    Most definitely. 😀 we, as referees should always make sure that out match administration is done. Let your local league(s) do what they do in sorting out any issues you report

    Not had to summon an ambulance to a football match but once had to call 999 to another sport where I was officiating.

    Storm abandons game

    The league in which the game was played will need notifying of the abandonment and the reason for it. I had a weather related abandonment a few years back now and that's how I dealt with it to NO complaints whatsoever 😄
