I sent someone off later in the same game, for DOGSO. The first instance there was enough of an excuse to push the boundary (DOGSO, but 40 yards out - not as clear to anyone but me, the defender and the striker)

At some levels, with some players, yes. No. It's a different level, with different expectations.

When I receive my team sheets before a match, I will ask the manager whether all the numbers are correct. Then I can red off a number, not a name, and look after. If team sheets aren't provided (a couple of leagues I've done they are not) then you have to call them over, even if you don't want to.

Again, a difference of opinion. I, personally, value match control above all. And I will happily stand up and be 'Last Week's Ref'. But I'm happy to agree to disagree, in this situation.

My argument here is that 'technical' reds are, at low level, match dependent. They shouldn't be, but it is. And I'd like to argue that more than half the referees I see, particularly those who referee at Supply level and above normally, are of a similar mindset.
