If you ask someone the question the FA and PL should never punish a honest answer I work in pro boxing and our rules just changed when commenting on things asked directly in pressers or interviews we can now answer honestly as long as language is not abusive or likely to instigate reprisals.
I actually think punishment at professional level are to harsh on coaches particularly regarding comments in the media we teach kids lying is wrong but the expect Managers to not answer or lie when asked a direct question or punish them for being honest not a good example to kids
For context I believe there’s been recent scandal in Turkey over corruption by referees so a lot of fans there will be sceptical a few bad apples spoiled it.
I am actively against anything ref support says after they became abusive on social media more than any player actually reported to there CFA as did a friend they abused too.
