craig that's a good idea but the Adidas boots which have those chips in don't come in all black :(
you could just use a heart monitor or the nike wristband that measures your running etc
In fairness is as being a little flippant when I used the word cheat. Brian Hamilton has articulated my thoughts very well.
Impartiality and competence are the key issues, not cheating.
if that was aimed at me, i do think there is merit in talking to a player to make sure that others (the oppo coach for example) can see that you're doing your job. however i wouldn't tell the player that, i'd just tell him what he'd done wrong.
overall i prefer to have a quiet word with a...
1. ok, amend the scenario, club B assistant disallows a perfectly valid "goal" for offside (or gives a penalty for an "offence" which you were unsighted for, which is scored) and relegates club A. is that better?
2. i'm there to enforce the LOAF not to tell CARs not to smoke.
3. whether i knew...
i don't think that's outrageous or insulting. consider the scenario:
Club A is attacking in the last minute of the final league game of the season. Club A needs to win to avoid relegation.
Club A midfielder has a shot which is turned in by Club A striker, who is offside. Club A assistant...
Anyone have a spare copy of this book?
"'******* in Black' is the writing of a parks referee who recalls highs and lows of being on the park at the same time as soon of the most weird and crazy 'footballers' ever to cross the white line.
Recalling his time refereeing in four different...
Haywain, my issues with CARs are as follows:
1. they cheat
2. they are usually operating under duress, not voluntarily (often a sub or spectator rather than a club official)
3. the likelihood of them taking in a 14 or 15 point instruction from me on what i require from them, then acting on it...
Has anyone got a pair of Legea referee shorts in size Large or XL? Mine are medium and a little on the short side.
Also if anyone has the shirt in a Long Sleeve version in Medium or Large, I'd take that off their hands too :)
(This one...
i can't agree with the point about Anelka's case being uniquely French. unfortunately the fact is that he plies his trade in England and must be judged by English sensibilities. if i made an offensive gesture in the Middle East for example, i couldn't base my defense on the fact that i am from a...
I didn't know the "quenelle" was even a thing, until Anelka did it. I think on Saturday I'm going to mention it in my pre match briefing so that everyone is aware that this gesture warrants a red card. Then there are no excuses.
Darren Adie is a WPL ref and is also an RDO.
I've watched and played in numerous games he's officiated. My opinion is he has a taste for the controversial; others might say that he likes to make sure that everyone notices him.
hoping for good news this weekend, although it's early days yet! the pitch i'm supposed to be reffing on has a notorious corner which is always waterlogged so i'm not totally optimistic...
I think it's one of those things that you have to figure out for yourself. The key is knowing where to reach for which item, in order to look confident during the process.
For what it's worth my setup is:
Left breast pocket: Ref wallet with Y & R cards, match pad, pen
Left shorts pocket...
i use this one.

it's great as long as the cards are in it, but if they're not it's too soft to write on properly.
