    My first personal hearing...

I had mine on Friday night, went well, the club "accused" took the decision not to ask me any questions relating to my statement, I was asked to confirm several aspects of the incident(s) to a three man CFA panal where I was and when etc.... I gave my account, and that was it. I wasnt told to...

Doing the right thing over doing the right thing.

If the teams agree to it, fine, but the players subs must be loads!! I played for a long time OA around Gravesend way, not as far as Sheppey, although I did back in the day played kids football which took us all over Kent.

    Getting Fixtures

I have been very lucky, however on Saturdays I combine my month doing 2 middles on the Kingston and District and 2 as assistant on the Combined Counties which I think is superb as I gain so much experience. I literally give my referee secretary a heads up of my Combined Counties appointments and...

    I keep forgetting ...

This happened to me once, reckless tackle, player goes down injured, BUT that player then gets up to confront the other so my attention is drawn to the person who got injured being the secondary aggressor, then I completley forget who tackled him in the first place. It is my intention to caution...

Doing the right thing over doing the right thing.

@Beezer what leagues do you referee on to get NAR on a Sunday? Is this OA? The only reason ask, is that I played in Kent for many years, never heard of it on a Sunday, sounds great though, wish I could have it on a Sunday

    Best advantages you've played

I had one from the weekend. Red player makes a reckless tackle, wiping the Orange player clean out, BUT I hold for for a second, and ball breaks to another Orange player, who has some space. At this time, a quick glance back to the Orange player who had been wiped out and he is up, not...

    Closing Off Dates with CFA

Question. I am having an ankle operation in December, so need to close off December just in case I get a County Cup appointment. Who do I contact? Email the RDO? I can't do anything via the Whole Game System

    My first personal hearing...

My hearing is not regarding a specific player, the charge is against a club for failing to control their players and causing an abandonment.... so I assume they would be represented by a secretary??

    Match Fees

For me on Saturdays at district level, the match fee is £30.00, at county level (Step 5), assistant referee is £32 and referee I believe is about £45? On Sunday, the match fee is £30.00 or £40.00 for a double header fixture.

Open Age A lot of confidence in me

Its probably because the Kent County FA are loving the extra income ;) the Kent FA Xmas party has gone from a pub to trip abroad! Who cares if it is a late appointment, games like that offer great experience so enjoy it. If its like the last game as you say the referee has a hard day ahead of...

    My first personal hearing...

I have my first personal hearing coming up in relation to a game where I was an assistant referee. The referee and other assistant are also attending. I cannot say anything about the incident(s) for obvious reasons but has anyone attended one, what should I expect? Obviously wear a suit with...

RA...To join or not to join.....

When I say 'youngsters' I mean in comparsion to someone that has one foot in the grave! Saying that, if it wasnt for the older members then there probably wouldnt be a society at all. I have only good things to say about it, I am sure all societies have their pro's and con's! I enjoy getting...

Very wet fixture yesterday and lots of dissent

@DaveMac oh so true! It rained HARD all game, even to take names down for cautions it was very hard as paper and water do not mix well!! I am thinking, get as many games in now before the weather really takes hold!!

RA...To join or not to join.....

I would say yes, and with the remark of it being an old mens club, unless 'youngsters' attend, that would never change would it? It is each to their own if you want to put aside a few hours a month to attend meetings. We have had very good guest speakers at ours, which include Football League...
