The League Cup show was perfect. A couple of 'feature' matches and presenters only talked to analysis these matches and after a large batch of other games.
That's all the Saturday show needs to be. Three feature matches (one from each league) then just roll through the goals of the other games...
Does anyone know where I can get a physical copy of this years laws of the game? Had a look around but could only find digital copy's however I would much prefer one I can keep in my bag at matches
It may vary county to county. In my county friendlies do count as long as they are between 'proper' teams. E.G not a trials game or a works team kickabout etc
I thought you only needed 15 middles from 5-4? I presumed you did 5 less than 7-6 and 6-5 as you needed 5 lines so it would still make a total of 20 games?
Sorry for being slightly off topic but now that 10 lines are needed does that mean that only 10 middles are now needed instead of 15 to make 20 games in total?
Spot on in my opinion. Yes there was a covering defender but he would more than likely had a pretty much empty net to aim at if Courtois hadn't fouled him
I tell the captains before the game that I can try to manage the game as best I can without using cards. Meaning late challenged might escape bookings etc.
However I will also tell them that three things will not be tolerated. Dissent, foul and abusive language and violent conduct. These will...
I know absolutely nothing about assessing an official but even I can see that is a shocking assessment!!!!
Multiple times you are told you were not good enough. Aren't assessments supposed to have positive criticism as in 'areas you could improve' rather than just saying you were rubbish?
The...
I normally just take whatever they offer unless it is ridiculous. If I am asked how much I want for the game I normally go with £25 for middle and £20 for assistant no matter who the teams are
For me I would be sending him off for the gesture. It doesn't matter what provoked it you can not do that. I would also probably be abandoning aswell due to fan behavior
In our County we ref on games for Shrewsbury Town academy and we have a meeting every few months. These meetings can be indoor lessons or outdoor exercises normally depending on the weather but they are all aimed at improving a certain aspect of your reffing
You can not give the goal as it did not go in
I would give a drop ball and ask the defending team to let the attacking team score. If they refuse then there isn't much you can do about it
Don't see much you did wrong here. Nothing wrong with standing your ground rather than backing off in my opinion. You didn't act aggressively and they backed off straight away
I would be reporting the manager for his comments and for accusing you of swearing.
I would also report the club for...
Just looking for some clarification on this.
I know if a player plays in a dangerous manner it is an indirect free kick but if it happens inside their own penalty area should an indirect free kick still be given instead of a penalty?
I can not see any reason why it shouldn't of stood.
Yes it went in off his hand and yes it changed the flight of the ball but there is no way he deliberately used his hand
