If they want to lose out on TV money, national coverage and the publicity that come from it fine. There are plenty of other non league clubs who would happily have it instead
That's a good question. I don't actually know the answer to that but I imagine they would then be treated as if they were a coach so would fill in a misconduct report
If it is before the team sheet has been handed in then the team can still field a full 11 and a full bench. The player dismissed can not play.
If it is after the team sheet has been handed in and the player in question was in the starting 11 then they can be replaced by a named substitute...
I would take his advice in but if I didn't agree with it then of course you can choose to ignore it.
Presuming in your leagues the ref gives his assistants a mark? If you were not happy with him for not doing what you asked then nothing wrong with giving him a lower mark.
You mention he...
For number 6 would it not be a corner if the ball left the penalty area rather than IDFK? If its left the area then the goal kick is legal but of course you can't score an own goal from a goal kick? If he catches it then yes would be IDFK for playing the ball twice
Agree with this massively. There are a few teams around here where the goalkeeper will shout for and against everything (not in an bad way though. Bit difficult to describe) but they are the first person to shake your hand and thank you after the game
Had a game Sunday morning.
Bottom division game against two teams who were the bottom two and had lost every single game so far. Turn up to find that one team had 11 players and the other had 8. That meant no assistants and had to do all offsides myself (not normal around here).
Even though...
Level 7-5 depends on what your local leagues are.
Level 4 ref at West Midland League Premier Level or whatever your equivalent is
Level 3 Northern/Southern/Isthmian Leagues
Level 2b Conference North/South
Level 2a Conference Prem
Level 1 Football League
You also line at the level above the one...
Having watched the replay about a million more times I am started to feel that the first offence could possibly have been a red aswell? Can't tell exactly what has happened due to camera angle and video quality but it looks to me like he has either struck him in the back or kicked him over?
Foul off the ball and then the kick out. 2 yellow card offences during the same passage of play. Ref spot on to send him off. In my opinion the second incident was a red on its own anyway. The Hungary player probably should of gone aswell however it was caused by the NI player who was provoking...
Just and off on to my answer. I would only wait for the second shot if they had a very obvious chance of scoring. If they didn't then I would blow straight away for a penalty and then send off the first offender.
I would say that advantage is being played after the first handball. If the attacker it rebounded to had put the ball in the net you would not send them off as they did not deny a goal so I would use the same logic here. When the second handball occurs that is now the one which has denied a goal...
I can see why people would think its not a red. The keeper turns around and sticks his foot out to try and control the ball. I don't think he even knew the player was there. In my opinion it was completely accidental however when I first watched it at full speed I thought red straight away so...
