I'd start by doing some lines on your local OA league which has NARs. It will give you a good idea of what you need to do differently when you do start to ref OA football. My 1st season was all youth, last year did some OA lines and will probably start in the middle next season. I know others...

Got to agree with Brian. If in doubt, rule it out ;). I know that it's very close to where he headed it and whatever, but whose hand naturally goes up towards their face when they header it? Mine doesn't.

Surely that can't be right. If, as many refs do, you're away at Uni and have a second county you can be available for one or the other and unavailable for the other...

Possibly check that the venue has changing rooms before turning up smart. In know both U16 semi final grounds in Herts didn't have changing facilities. Take your flags just in case.

Just going back to the OP, the keeper has had a Weston doing that. You always wait until the ref's not looking then do one on the edge of the box in the middle and two on the six yard box level with the goalposts!

At least it won't be Lolton/Lootown any more. They're in freefall!
