    Copa Mundials

Christ alive, £85 is the cheapest around?! Madness! Wanted to get some before I move across the pond as boots are much more expensive over there, but I won't bother! Think I'll just wait for a stupid sale in the States

    Touchline or Ervocom

I had them. I didn't actually mind them on the whole. Flag handles weren't particularly nice (didn't affect me as the ref!) and the range wasn't brilliant (if you were too far away from AR, wouldn't buzz on arm) and the vibration wasn't amazingly strong...but for £100 or so, I thought they were...

    Copa Mundials

Where's the cheapest place at the moment to purchase genuine Copa's (the firm grounds)? Used to be £65 at Sports Direct, but when I last looked there, they were £95!!

Witnessing a Sending Off when An assistant

Unless I'm reading this wrong, aren't you essentially saying exactly as Brian said, just with a bit more added? Always should be red (A then H) followed by yellow.

Witnessing a Sending Off when An assistant

I'm assuming you were an appointed NAR on the game, rather than a CAR, right? As above, if you have use of buzzers in that situation, hold it down until the ref's arm falls off! If not using buzzers, raise your flag before he starts to discipline and take 1/2 steps onto FOP. You've seen a clear...

Best Assistant Referee Signalling Ever ....

Matty Buonassissi is his name. Andy D'Urso was the referee. Matty & D'Urso were having a full on argument over the comms. Matty went to give a free-kick, D'Urso told him to mind his own business, with some expletives, (there was some prior history with them too) so Matty responded with "well...

    Goalkeepers Shirt Colour

Just restarting this, with the original topic back as the discussion. I was at Watford-Palace yesterday and Gomes walked out in all black, as did Team Clatts. Watford were in yellow, Palace in their red/blue and their keeper in green. As far as I'm aware, there are 4 colours for officials...

    Happy holidays

Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, enjoy your time off! Delete as appropriate! Here's to a not-too-cold-or-wet period for those of you donning the uniform, otherwise potential postponements result in additional time spent with the in-laws...!

    Goalkeepers Shirt Colour

False. PL & FL teams are only required to designate 2 GK colours before the start of the season, regardless of whether they designate three for the outfield players. As I've mentioned here before, the order for choice of colours is; Home team Away team Home GK Away GK Referee If all four...

Rule #1 of how to annoy Dan...open a dead thread! @Bradley Totney should be glad SM got to it before me!

    Dealing with Player Managers

Indeed. You can't show a red card to a normal manager (who isn't named as a sub), so we were told that therefore if he's acting in his role as a manager to treat him as such (i.e., no red card but TA dismissal). However, as it is an offence that would prevent him from taking further part in the...

    Dealing with Player Managers

From what I recall when this was discussed whilst I was a L4, this isn't the case. If, whilst in the technical area & acting within his role as a manager, he is to be treated as such and therefore can't be shown a red card. If he's out of the technical, therefore by definition not acting as a...

    Marcus Rojo!

Yawn. Your team got this decision, your team should have had this card, my team are unfairly treated. Pipe down. It's boring. This thread is now closed, but please remember to make future posts relevant otherwise warning points will follow!

Man Utd vs West Ham - rooney

Beach ball Jones failing to correctly apply the laws? I don't believe you...next thing you're going to tell me is that water is wet!!

    Aims

Started at 14, got to L4 by 20y/o, fell out of love completely with refereeing and stepped down at 22. Partly due to certain people's involvement at senior level (some people on here know exactly what I'm on about, some don't) is what killed it off for me and I may return one day, but you never...

    First assessment 6-5

How has nobody yet spoken about the horrific manner in which this assessment has been written? The language is atrocious, reminiscent of an early teenager's attempt at English homework! Additionally, with the sole exception of the AOL, there are no 'examples' given to back-up the 'above...

    Refs sec's/Closed dates

In all honesty, yes you are. Once you get a game on a date, you must close it everywhere else so as to not have this position again

    Costa v West Ham

I'm going to reactivate this today, following Jon Moss' utterly disgraceful and shameful non-dealing with of Diego Costa. A clear and blatant dive, having already been cautioned, he then went on to score winner. Moss continues to get worse...and worse...and worse!
