    Promotion

this is my fourth season and I am now going from 7 to 6. Didn't feel I was experienced enough to do it before but probably could have done it. I now feel I am at a place where I feel I can do a good job at a better level, 2 observations done but I might not get my third one in as I might not get...

Sin Bins - are you finding they help?

I had a high C2 card count last year, and this year I am averaging a sin bin every fifth game. When I use it during a game all dissent has dissapeared from that moment, acouple of times I maybe haven't used it when I should of and have had not as good game. I think its a good thing as so far I...

Services refs have to be careful with energy gels as there are certain brands which make them fail their drugs tests. i was told this by a RAF ref I worked with.

Meant to be a semi final but it is now when I am working with a team of three one who is an ex football league ref and my other assistant is a level 4. Whole game

In Suffolk we enter all games on a county FA google drive so they can see where we are going in advance. It is our responsiblity to fill it in. When I first started I entered all cautionless games as well but soon got bored of that.

    Amber Warning

In Suffolk it is county cup weekend and Suffolk fa called all games off at around lunch time today. The youth league who play tomorrow have postponed all games and the women's league are postponing individual games. Not sure about the Sunday leagues but it is better to be safe than sorry. The...

    10cm "wang buffer"

Doesn't solve the problem. There is still a point when people argue he was only 1mm off side. Doesn't matter if it is 20 cm or 20m the issue of closeness will still be talked about, because offside is fact by a millimetre or a mile. Both are still offside.

    Who supplies the flags?

Cambridgeshire FA provided flags, whistles, cards wallets lanyards, and a full kit. That was 4 years ago so things might have changed. I already had an FA appoved DBS and had a current safeguarding certificate. Cheapskates I had to buy my own boots!!!!! It aws great value and at the time they...

    Who supplies the flags?

I can not understand a ref who doesn't have flags with him. I am working in a team of three tonight and I can guarantee there will be at least 3 sets of flags, probably more as we all carry rubbish ones for Sunday mornings and use our nice ones for NARs
