Got asked last night after a County Cup Semi Final why the handball I'd given wasn't restarted with a drop ball.
That's from a manager of a side top of their step 5 league. Scary how poor their knowledge is 😂
Been a few season since I did a Sunday game but still remember the protest from an aging defender while being cautioned:
"Come on ref, you can't book me for being slow and ****e"
UTD fan here.
That 2nd half was an absolute disgrace from Man Utd. Fernandes is a shocking example to set for young supporters.
On a refereeing note, whilst Andy Madley clearly can't be blamed in any way for the loss, he really doesn't fill me with confidence. Didn't seem to have the...
Whilst I fully agree with some verbal communication to tell everyone you’re happy with the tackle; by saying “well done, got the ball” or pointing at the ball as I’ve seen some refs do, you’re feeding into the believe that players have of Ball first = no foul!
The latest clip on BOA Tik Tok is Mark booing the officials as they warm up and telling the opposing manager that he always does it and he hates them…
The bloke is a cancer.
So I live down in Cornwall and we can very rarely get away with anything other than boots!
I’ve always opted for these, although they’re rugby boots they’re the comfiest I’ve found and last for years!

Common sense will tell you not to try and stick anything into an artificial pitch.
Yes pitches are hard in the summer but they don’t lose the same risks that a frozen pitch do. Whilst it might old school, the properties of ice haven’t changed over the years! If the worst part of the pitch can...
For a frozen pitch, take a key and try to stick it in the ground.
No key in the ground = no game of football!
If it’s soft enough to allow a key to be pushed in then it’s generally soft enough to take a stud.
Find the worst bit of the pitch and give it a test!
Influencing a decision is very different from impacting ability to play the ball.
Ederson DECIDED not to come out. Nobody physically prevented him from doing so.
Not a chance I’m letting some idiot get away with 2x yellows after this.
I would almost bet my mortgage that during his outburst he’s used some language that falls within OFFINABUS.
Along with the actions that almost certainly are going to be abusive.
You wanna threaten me pal then you can...
“pretty close”
If you’re going to argue then use terminology that relates to the LOTG.
Were the defenders within playing distance of the ball at any point? No
Did Rashford physically prevent them from playing the ball? No, they were never within range of playing the ball anyway
The defenders...
If the player hasn’t actually committed or attempted commit an act of violent conduct then I’d be going OFFINABUS as the actions are clearly abusive.
I’d also accompany this with an extraordinary misconduct report to give your county fa the correct context to the incident. Ensuring that you use...
I agree that Rashford’s actions have an influence on the goalkeepers decision making. However, there’s no mention of that in the offside considerations in law.
Had the defenders been within playing distance of the ball then I’d also accept the argument that he affected their ability to play the...
