    Getafe Vs Real Betis

Your previous post stated "as he kicks the ball away I swing my foot at him but pull out at the last minute or slow down to make minimal contact." This describes a potential challenge for the ball that makes zero/minimal contact. In all honesty, it doesn't even sound like a foul.

    Getafe Vs Real Betis

That's not what I've said at all. Swinging a punch is a violent action. Red Card. Kicking out at someone as they play the ball but then pulling out and making zero/neglible contact is not a violent action. If someone swings a kick at a someone and doesn't pull out then its a different story.

    Getafe Vs Real Betis

Minimal or no contact doesn't equal any of the following: - excessive force - endangering the safety - violent action - brutal action

    Watford v Lewes

I'm very confused... what is the first red card shown for?! The yellow for the keeper should be a red in my opinion. Although the ball is going wider than I'd like, it's an empty net with no covering defender's at the time of the foul.

    Nottingham Forest vs Aston Villa

De Gea would have caught that back in the day.

    Offside/DOGSO/SPA

I don't think it's explicitly covered in law. However, the foul can't stop a promising attack if the attacking player can't legally play the ball.

    Offside/DOGSO/SPA

Opinion of the National Referee Manager for L4's is that there's no offside offence. The foul is cynical and should be punished with a caution regardless of any potential offside offence negating SPA.

    Offside/DOGSO/SPA

Nah, had a chat in the bar afterwards and made clear the first offence was punished. They won't be savvy enough to figure out the yellow could have been avoided with a more experienced AR.

    Offside/DOGSO/SPA

I got nothing from the AR, it was his first game and didn't actually adjudge it to be offside. Ended with a 2nd yellow for SPA which was accepted by all.

    Offside/DOGSO/SPA

Had this occur in my game on Saturday. Step 6 game down in Cornwall and the AR for that side was BRAND new and never run the line before. Flag didn't go up, pre match instructions were to wait for the ball to be played by the attacker. Red defender was already on a caution. Bit of discussion...

Yellow card and physio coming on

This is the time to follow the full cautioning procedure! Nice lengthy chat to explain the caution, ask them to spell their name 😂

    Net interfering with GK

I can't find any reason not to allow a goal if the rebound is scored. The net is secure and doesn't interfere with the goalkeeper until he runs into the net!

    Law Changes from July 2024

If non-deliberate handballs are to be treated as any other foul, this would that denial of a goal/goal scoring opportunity is still a red card. DOGSO doesn't have to be a deliberate action. I'd say 90% of fouls are accidental either the player trying to win the ball.

    Arsenal v Bayern

Different viewpoint from a Senior colleague (also happens to officiate at an elite level): "more a case of excellent tactical awareness / understanding. In this game, Arsenal had taken every short goal kick with a defender passing the ball to the GK, after the GK had provided the ball to the...

    What's the decision?

This happened in a Senior County Cup game mid week down in Cornwall. What's your decision in terms of offence, sanction and restart of play? https://www.facebook.com/share/v/bCUMLCdSSwEMm5JS/
